Can you adapt your life to live without internet?

Just curious about this. Do you think that you can live without the marvellous wonders of the world wide web?

I think I can, but it's really hard to think about all the things that I'd lose: Google and all its services (Drive, Gmail, Keep, Youtube, Maps), Reddit/MMOC/Imgur/9gag, and other things too. Social networks like Facebook doesn't matter at all for me, but the things that I've said earlier would be kinda hard to ignore.

    And you?

I prob could, but it would take time as the internet is my main form of entertainment and is basically essential to my work.

What's your secret to your longevity?

As for me...I still roll with a modem dial-up so I already live without a lot of things at the moment.
And I'm quite comfortable with that.

It's surprising how much time I have left when I turn my pc off.

I would be out of job and my education will be mostly useless. It's possible, but some would not consider being homeless a proper life.

Probably not both my private and professional life are pretty much dependent on the existence of the internet.

    A young urban professional?

No, I live in the countryside I can't stand filthy, crowded cities.

I would probably kill myself from boredom in less than a month

Pretty much every core aspect of my life relies on the internet in one way or another, so absolutely not. When the modem died one night, I was like: "Well, I could watch some TV ... oh wait, nope. I can't .." cause I have Hulu+ and Netflix. So even my TV was worthless to me with the modem dead.

The irony of 5000+ posts on the forum makes it so much better.

Yeah, but I'd have to find the cave where the MMO-C's will gather. Still going to need my weekly dose of shit posting.

Not if one is living in an urban environment.

So maybe a YRP...young rural professional?

Hmf...sometimes I think the country as a whole should kill the internet for a day or two during the month.

So you are saying yuppies have become... yuppies?
    I dont quite follow.

I also think of the term as a compliment btw. Being young and sucessfull is hardly something negative.

Is there a zoo near by? I´d suggest watching some apes throw shit at each other will do the trick.
