Trump's suggestion that he will have Hillary jailed was 3rd world disqualifying.

He did adequately, if you ignore the 30 minutes he was a walking meme/conspiracy machine. And that's the big story, how much he improved and how in the face of the recent scandal and GOP civil war he managed to do adequately, which is basically a win.

But he did far from well. His demeanor was atrocious (not well prepped/trained at all), he was terrible at actually answering questions and smoothly transitioning to other topic (he just brought them up), his answers were often times barely coherent, he publicly contradicted his own VP candidate and basically threw him under the bus, he continued to lie through his teeth about a hell of a lot of topics, he was extremely vague whenever specific numbers/information came up, and a huge number of other issues.

But he wasn't as bad as he was the first time, so that's a win!

On balance though, he did manage to get Hillary on the defensive giving choppy, awkward answers to questions that should have been settled a long time ago. And both she and the moderators seemed to fixate on fact-checking Trump when he's shown himself to be immune to fact-based logic for some time now, and as fucked up as that might be, there's no sense in going down that road on someone who simply doesn't react to his lies being exposed.

All human beings have a short term memory with limited storage.

That is why people remember the last half of the debate more better than the first half. That is why watching the debate a 2nd and 3rd time will eventually store all of the debate in the long term memory storage of the human brain.

Yeah, I don't know if people watched the same debate as you and me. Trump literally answered only 1 question and that was the last one. He was rude, his temper got the best of him again, his little pre-show debate stunt backfired on his ass, and he was a whiny little bitch about everything.

Hilary, while probably didn't answer one or two things, was far more measured, threw him off balance with baits, performed wonderfully at a town hall debate (you can tell by the way she kept her eyes on the questioneer and getting personal with them).

To be honest they both deflected an obscene amount going on tangents into space that made the entire thing a waste of time with nothing solid.

The only thing these debates are good for is to see who has better posturing and who can say the least amount of absolute crap in their deflection response.

Let's say person B wins in the personality context, but loses in the debate context. Debate should be a contest of positions, not a contest of personalities, in my opinion. You don't score something just for appearing a good reasonable guy/girl, you also should appear someone who can give a coherent answer to a question.
