Given the timing of this patch we didn't want to push out any major balance changes or talent updates right before the Blizzcon esports tournament.

Artanis can currently use Phase Prism during Blade Dash. That will not be going live with this patch.

Oh, I was hoping for some changes, but oh well. On another note, I wish companies would stop balancing their games around the pro scene.

I think we know, who will be announced to the HOTS in Blizzcon after Samuro. I love HOTS reddit!

It's makes sense due to the Diablo anniversary and Malthael was one of most awaited by community heroes to come. At least Poland community, since when i looked in Poland forums sometime ago, most of HOTS player don't even know who is Mephisto, Baal, Duriel or Andariel. They only know Malthael and Diablo.

I wish companies would stop balancing their games around the pro scene.

Why is that? I actually like it, pros are always the first to abuse some strategy.

Recent Nexus Games and some regional finals showed how obnoxiously annoying and strong can Malfurion and Zarya be. If a team with Malfurion can pretty much lose most of fights, but win few crucial fights thanks to Roots being ridiculously strong and still come out with a win, you know it is not right. Or when a team that has a player who played just 3 games in total on Zarya and still won, you know it is not balanced.

Because all others play a different game which is ruined when they try to balance the game the pros are playing. It is very different to play a game for fun as do you & I, and a completely different one for money as do the pros. Thus, yours and my fun are potentially ruined by certain balance changes that only happen because X & Y guys abuse some hero or strategy to earn money.

I am kind of curious why they don't have separate versions of the game for these kinds of situations. They could keep pushing balance changes and Hero reworks on live while having the tournaments being played on an older build that is more stable for tournament play. Would solve the issue, I think.

That already happens in Korea, both in HotS Super League and SC2 Proleague.
