You can't "spam" shield block. It's got a CD and you'd have to get absolutely insane SS proccs with the HR talent to make it 100% uptime. Apart from that, SB always had higher priority than IP, even before nerfs, unless you were doing content where your IP never broke, like 5man heroics and stuff.

What even kinda post is this, I guess you haven't played Warrior. Shield block is a defensive buff with 2 charges and a short cooldown that you can maintain very high uptime, costs very little rage. Ignore Pain is a primary rage spender, size of the absorb depends on how much rage you spend/procs, no cooldown.
Probably running on a Pentium 4

Jesus. If you aren't using ignore pain how have healers not told you that you're bleeding out the ass? How are you not rage capped?

Unless you've been spending it all on focused rage in which case, why aren't you using ignore pain? Especially once you get to +5 and up you should finally start feeling like things are hitting you enough to grant rage.

If you find shield block uptime to be a problem you probably don't have enough haste. 20%-30% is ideal. High mastery for trash and high verse for bosses

You should be using Ignore Pain in any dungeon or raid content...

Or ~20% haste for 100% SB uptime.
