People with avoidant personality disorder are so self-educated on politics, foreign policy, government types. Able to coherently piece together debates and anti-authoritarian arguments when it suits them. But it's always behind a veil of anonymity that these types of people come out, on sites like 4chan or even in a few threads here.
Is it some stew of self-loathing, insecurity, misanthropy and severe depression that turn people into experts on fascism, nazism, communism, and hatred of "the system"? Because anecdotally, I've never come across someone who looked mildly well-mannered and normal, not hiding behind anonymity, blowing up into a rant about socialism and drawing comparisons to extreme forms of government that occurred in the past and applying it to today's political landscape.
And I'm not saying "being anonymous = all that above". But you can certainly tell with vocabulary choice, opinions on social issues (feminism, for example) and personal story drops that some of the most extreme political minds have a pretty shitty life. Look no further than some places like the red pillers section of Reddit, or the political section of 4Chan and other various message boards.
What's with this, anyone else noticing this trend? It's like you can put a Guy Fawkes mask on the person behind the words and it'd be a perfect fit.
