Need to get a new laptop

Hi my brother wants me to get him a laptop. My girlfriend bought this laptop a couple months ago http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-15-6-...?skuId=5252100 it works pretty good she plays the new sims game on it and wow decently. She did not get it for gaming so it works great for her. Same goes for him he might play wow a little on it but it is mostly for school, he has around $300-400 to spend on one.

Looked online today to see if I could find any better deals but I've never had a laptop so wanted to post a couple I found to see if they are better then the one she got.

I like the two that turn into tablets but I saw they do not have a cd drive I suppose thats not to bad can always get a usb cd drive, but the laptops there with ssd's is it easy to install a regular hard drive on them? Or would he need to get a USB hard dive if he needs more space? A couple of them I saw were regularly around 600 but they are on sale for like half that, but I don't really know the difference with the intel and amd processors to know whats the best deal. I know the one my girlfriend got is nice and would do the job for him but just wanted to check out a few others and see what people had to say, or if anyone has suggestions on other laptops. We are also in the usa.

Talked with him and I know he likes http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA42J4T46732 the most, I liked that one the most too, but would like to see what people think about its specs vs the other laptops.

Big noooo to all of those, those are ancient and would play WoW terribly. To get an actual "gaming" laptop with a dedicated GPU you need to spend around 600 bucks.

If you are looking to just be able to play WoW on low to medium settings something like this is what you are looking for:

Not really to worried about gaming on it just wanted to know if the specs on those were as nice as the one my girlfriend got a couple months ago http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-15-6-...?skuId=5252100. It plays wow on low to medium settings fine, but my brother rarely plays so gaming isnt the priority for the laptop.

Put those ones you linked out of your head, they are absolute junk lol. They are over 5 years old, every one of them. The third one is over 7 years old, i cant even understand why they are for sale.

Why are you looking at those specific laptops?

The one i linked is the one you want, you cant beat it for the price range.

Does it need to turn into a tablet? The Acer Fascinate linked is decent and there is also this Lenovo isn't too bad: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834319905
