No joke, I cut way back on social media, news and forums recently and it feels great. Especially cutting back on bullshit news that seems to permeate our culture everywhere (celebrity news, etc).

I don't think people should completely cut themselves off from the news (clearly I'm still posting on here, and I still have a subscription to the WSJ/Economist), but cutting out the negative clutter in one's life (from whatever source) feels good.

Need a consistent high-quality science news source, I feel like I need more of that in my life however.

Don't have news beyond shit that gets posted here (on the occasion that Im both here and I see a recent post topic thats new). And maybe what my co-workers say. I dont think the little bit of news I actually get will make a difference.

Duterte continued with his insult to one of the Philippines biggest allies by
saying “They forced their way into Iraq and killed Saddam. Look at Iraq now. Look what happened to Libya. Look what happened to Syria. Because they were pushed to the wall for the failed promises.”
