    How did you find Karazhan?

So after a while of people clearing Karazhan (or wiping) how did you find the experience of the dungeon in a whole?

In my personal opinion the dungeon is way to overtuned for what you get as a reward. The tactics on bosses are fine and it promotes people to actually use their brain, however, after finally downing that one boss and you receive an 855 ilvl which is worse than some normal EN items (in regards to stats) just breaks my heart.

The one thing i hated the most is that there is close to no save points when you die. If you die on maiden you have to run all the way from entrance and back, imo they should've added a save point after every boss.

Haven't done it yet, build a guild went with with a complete pug, they did the 4 mythic and every boss except one in kara when she dced and got booted xD I thin she said with the mythics just took the afternoon to do.

I've seen a lot,of people complaing they are doing it far to quick and it's not as long / time consuming as they said it would be

The fights are good overall it requires you to know how to play, interrupts etc. One small mistake can wipe you its difficult to finish with lots of people dead. A lot of the fights I 2 manned with myself (prot pally tank) and another 1 dps from like 20% on some bosses (mostly the first 4 or so).

My first run with pugs took me 6hrs start to finish , had to find another group on maiden because my original group sucked and the DPS check for that fight they couldn't do it . Found another group 2manned it still but then carried them to finish the dungeon. Most bosses took 3-5 wipes to learn and do and last boss took me 11 wipes because people always dying to orbs or a beam launched off.

I would say its overturned as far as how much damage the abilities deal to you the ilvl reward is nice but I did the whole thing and got 2 upgrades currently at 863. I feel the dungeon is tuned to 860 since my dps were dying left and right at 850-855.

As a whole i didn't really liked it.

Positive is the scenery and the atmosphere. But that are also the first things that don't feel the same anymore on your third visit vs your first.

But it is way way overtuned. It drops ilvl 855 so i figure it is tuned for 845-850. Give me a break.
First you have tactics that are on a heroic raid level difficulty. I can be ok with that IF the loot is appropriate. But 855 seems too low. I have it easier in hc EN and that drops 865.

It's not just mechanics it is the raw dmg too. Even with flawless execution (which is a big if) there is just so much dmg you can not avoid. I can not see a tank or healer at 845 being ok with that.

And those corpse runs of 5 min. Who thought of that........

I will maybe do it once or twice again. But after that. Nah. Too long for hardly any reward.

Can't find one with a poll to actually gather some statistics here

The difficulty and length along with the gear needed and the gear received are completely out of tune. If you are 850 its going to be excruciating, meanwhile if you are 860+ you won't need most of the gear and it will still be challenging. Let alone the 1 drop per boss is fairly brutal for gearing as its RNG if you will even be the one getting the drop, let alone the piece you need. It really feels tuned for the 860ish range to be quite hard, but doable, meanwhile its dropping 855 gear. I can't imagine a group of 840-845 people clearing it as you would need a fairly incredible group.

I bet the people voting it is fine are guild groups of 870+.

Go in there with an ilvl you think it is tuned for: 845-850 seeing it drops 855 and is the next step after normal mythics.

I bet you won't vote it is fine anymore then.

Absolutely loved it. Healer and Tank were slightly undergeared (840-845 roughly) so it took us a long time with multiple wipes but my god I had fun. Rogue got a nice 885 trink from the last boss, healer and tank got an 880 piece each which they deserved too. Most of the boss fights were really fun, I especially liked Medivh and Viz'aduum. Quite honestly one of the best nights in WoW for a very long time.

I'd like to add that this was a pug group too. We all agreed we'd stick it out till the end.

Did it yesterday with a 865 group. Sure we died a lot, like 30 deaths total, but none of those deaths were due to the numbers being too high - only failed mechanics or pulled too many packs etc. When you execute the boss fights and trash properly, you really don't need much gear there.

As a 850 ilevel team we loved it.

Kara's barely been out a week, with people unclear of what to do and how to do it well yet, calm down.

Haven't done it on my main yet, but did it on my alt. It was pretty rough, but managed to clear the place. The group consisted of 850s, I was 851 tank. Really expected much worse since the forums made it sound bad, but it just took learning of the fights since we had never seen any of the fights before.

Cleared it last night with my regular M+ team. A couple of us got minor upgrades, including some recipes, and all of us had fun.

    Well done Blizz. Well done.

If it was easy to clear your first time through, wouldn't that be boring? We'll all have the fights on speed dial soon enough; enjoy the challenge while you can.

It just seems all the people complaining about low ilvl don't want to flask and pot for the 5 man raid. As if raiders never flask or pot for progression.

Actually at 850 a few wipes per boss seems to be correct tuning. I would want the target item level audience to not just 1 shot everything.

Sigh. When I saw the PTR feedback thread I figured this would be overtuned relatative to the rewards on release. For whatever reason the people that are willing (and have the free time) to test things on the PTR want everything to be ridiculously hard.

it was ok, the last boss somehow gave us some trouble, other than that we didn't wipe a whole many times. i think the avg ilvl of our party was around 865-870. Even did the nightbane timed run afterwards (it was pretty much the same party but with mains instead of alts so avg ilvl was close to 880), took us 3 tries, but the timed portion was piss easy, nightbane himself wiped us a few times before we got a hang of the mechanics of the fight.

edit: the corpse runs in that please are fucking annoying tho.

Just finished the run, 3 friends + 2 random pugs i found it fun and challenging. Group averaged 864 ilvl, i feel like we overgeared content slightly, ilvl 850 group can do it fine.
    Got Midnight mount! :P
