That is immigrants, I love that the word now has such a negative association that people wont even use it for it's original purpose.
It's now used to label certain ethnic groups and not in a positive manner.
Besides, most of the people labeled immigrants are actually refugees, be it for economic reasons, or humanitarian ones.
Get your words straight. Anyone not born japanese moving there to live and work is an immigrant, regardless of your personal opinion.
they just need to import more Mexicans, or make much more efficient robots for the immigrant jobs like farm labour/crops/etc.
Good god that country is already filled enough as it is. Just let it pass and the following generations (which will be working in an AI dominated environment) will pick up the slack.
People working 2 jobs in the US (at least one part-time) - 7.8 Million (Roughly 4.9% of the workforce)
People working 2 full-time jobs in the US - 360,000 (0.2% of the workforce)
Average time worked weekly by the US Workforce - 34.5 hours
Im sure that a few posters in this forum that'd be willing to volunteer...
I don't think claiming they "need" more immigrants is really all that plausible.
More to the point though, this shouldn't be interpreted as at all consistent with the prevailing open-borders sentiment that any ol' immigrants will do and the most important thing is just growing a population.
Que every weaboo nerd thinking they'll be a big shot over there cause they watched all the animes.
Japan is a small as mass of islands, maybe instead of trying to fill with immigrants they could work more on youths, this seems to be a double edge thing for them. Thier youth isn't procreating or working as much, probably cause of impossible standards and instead of fixing that they want to just get outside work?
I hate when any country does this, it's shown Time and time again immigration causes spiked problems and long term tensions. Let the old die out, have a small population for a while and I'm sure it will spring back if they did changes that lowered some crazy high standards. Again this goes for any first world nation.
To paraphrase Christopher Caldwell,
If a country can be the same with different people in it, and if not, I wonder whether something one loves is being taken from them.
To whose interests are the politicians serving? What is their purpose if their only goal is the GDP number.
On MMO-C we learn that Anti-Fascism is locking arms with corporations, the State Department and agreeing with the CIA, But opposing the CIA and corporate America, and thinking Jews have a right to buy land and can expect tenants to pay rent THAT is ultra-Fash Nazism. Bellingcat is an MI6/CIA cut out. Clyburn Truther.
Or do like Saudi Arabia and the other oil states; slavery.

No, immigrants are permanent in everyone's definition. The dictionary, the governments, wikipedia. You are the outlier.

If the asylee is allowed to live within the country permanently then they are an immigrant. If they are only granted to remain for a set amount of time then they are not an immigrant. There is no such thing as a temporary immigrant.
