    Every raven are crows...

Crows is a family of birds, the corvus.

The raven is part of this family, the corvus corax.

So actually this mount is totally a crow.

When googling 4 letters is asking too much fact-checking.

Someone learned how to use wikipedia.

Anyway, this might be my favorite mount. At first I liked the shaman one the best, but the more I watched the video the more awkward it looked. Whereas a Raven is just badass.

Nice try. But I actually learned this more than 15 years ago. When one Space Marine Primarchs was named Corvus Corax.

Yep, there was a time before internet, when people learned things. Amazed kido ?

Dont get smart with me No one here is thinking that and taking it outside of the boundaries of its incorrect usage here makes for a poor arguement. lay mans reference in terms of crows actually refers to commons species like Corvus brachyrhynchos and Corvus splendens, related. People talking of "crows" here are referring to such sorts and other related species under the genus. Crows are ONE part of the corvus family, there are a few other species and you wouldnt refer to them as crows.

Corvus corax does not refer to ALL ravens, only the Common Raven.

You are correct there are few actual distinctions as a species in general but the difference in scientific names is mainly due to biological size both in general and of various body parts. Ravens are typically larger and puffier while crows are smaller and streamlined. Also Crow vs Raven behaviour is very different. Crows have "communities" and are way more social, while Ravens are either solitary or in mated pairs. They're far more graceful and far more intelligent as individuals (though crows have complex group behaviors, synergy and interaction, while being quite smart themselves).

Their mythological significance is also very important. What is general thought of by cultures in reference to crows and ravens is very distinct, as are the species in manner and nature. If i were to go into this, there would be pages in relation to the Norse mythology (the most relevant here due to the titans and Odyn) alone. The cultural notions regarding both are quite seperate

So when people refer to crows and ravens, they are not interchangeable. What we have is a Raven mount, we retreived an artifact called the Ravens Eye not the crows eye, just like its not Lord Jorach Crowholdt. And odyn's raven's dont like me, not his crows.

Edit: details taken from my Australian bird enthusiast friend.

Dont like it at all. With the weird purple cover thing on it's head on the screenshot it looks silly to me.

After thinking about it the crow is actually nice, it reminds me of the Naruto summons.

Why do people keep making this mistake. Its a different texture and model but has a similar animation skeleton, a modified version that was used for the stormcrows most likely.

I like it, looks cool unlike some other class mounts...

Man.... how sexy would it be if upon mounting/dismounting it did some sort of vanish effect.... maybe leave a smoke cloud...

Most things in the game are a re-texture on some existing model or skeleton. Pretty sure the priest owl mount is a re-texture of the winged guardian.

    ahem https://twitter.com/WatcherDev/statu...21933435322369

Texture and color variants. Not to say they couldnt change the beak and color that bird up to make it a parrot.
