I'm not sure if I have learned anything. I do know there is always a political debate in a thread you least expect it from.

I learned to avoid it if possible. I usually end up clicking on a few threads from the "Recent Forum Posts" section (such as I did with this thread) but I never search through OT for anything. It's a horrible place.
That everything posted by Tennisace and Co is very interesting and informing.

I remember that "Saladrid guy, or was it @Salandrid? You know that guy who was afraid of walking outside and screamed rape on the top of his lungs when touched by a stranger? He asked for some advice on that some time ago if i remember right.
That nothing is a reputable source because everything is tainted by dirty liberal bias or dirty conservative bias. Really makes it hard to link something that people won't just immediately handwave away.
not everyone is true to their real thoughts
That everyone hates you the moment your username gets a slightly different tinge of green.
But seriously, I learn a lot here. I know a lot of people find it easy to just say "Everything is trash here", but there's quite a few posters who make great points.

Right there with you, sort of. I filter it right out of my "recent forum posts". Would of never saw this thread if I didn't recently clear my cache. As fun as it used to be seeing "What dumb shit could there of possibly been said in this thread?", the sheer amount of biased moderation and arguing for the sake of arguing makes it an aneurysm waiting to happen.
Always interesting to see varying points of view. And sometimes there is actually interesting news articles posted that I haven't seen before...especially with the science advances.
So, yes, there is a lot of garbage in OT, with a lot of simplistic points of view that are easily debunked. But there are some replies here and there that have a good deal of nuance and context that should make most people think about it more deeply.
Basically, OT is a microcosm of the general public. Lots of ignorance, but some smart people that provide a lot of information to those that are willing to listen.
That it's a hive of scum and villany.
They always told me I would miss my family... but I never miss from close range.
Quantity >>>> Quality
There is litteraly no possibility to retain strong arguments. The flow is dumbing every subject down, where nonsense and violence, then, prevail.

This forum is really like a brain cancer, an open world of what cannibalism will look like... well i mean "urbanism socialist paradise".
Europeans think Americans are cucks.
In other news, I learned the definition of irony.

That people have an online persona that is different than their real life persona
People working 2 jobs in the US (at least one part-time) - 7.8 Million (Roughly 4.9% of the workforce)
People working 2 full-time jobs in the US - 360,000 (0.2% of the workforce)
Average time worked weekly by the US Workforce - 34.5 hours
I learned a lot about cultural mentalities. Like, we in Germany had a great debate about a hijacked civilian plane that would, almost without failure crash into a stadium with 70k people. And the law in my country says: Do not shoot the civilian plane down - even if it costs all those lives. Why? Cause our basic law has §1 in it, which makes it impossible to value 1 human life over 10billion human lives. This would completely alienate a large group on this forums.
Due to how SJW MMO-C is I've actually gotten multiple choice questions correct by reading some of the crap on here.
