LOL, This is rich, Hillary wins and you all cry foul and how the system is old and outdated and "OMG THE WORLD IS GOING TO END"

Get off it, media turned him into the unstoppable monster he became, all the hate and slamming of him, that most of you puked forth got thrown right back at you. O what a glorious day, drinking all your tears is so sweet.

On a side note. If Hillary won, the entire tune would be different. You would tell us that "the people have spoken" "the system works" "what a wonderful country we live in"

I think it's true that without super delegates - particularly the way that they were listed as being for Hillary Clinton before even the first primary ballots were cast, and in such numbers that they suggested Clinton already had it in the bag (there are whole courses in statistics about why this kind of thing pushes results to favor a candidate) - Sanders may have been a little more likely to win. But then, I also think super delegates may have been the only way he could have won, because Clinton was from the establishment and Sanders was not, and most people vote solely along party lines.

In the end, it was as I was saying as the primaries started, a bazillion years ago - if the Democrats were smart, they would have picked Bernie Sanders. It had nothing to do with qualifications or policies. This election was about enthusiasm and the American public reaching a boiling point of rage. Bernie Sanders generated enthusiasm, and no matter how much you may not necessarily agree, I doubt many could say they were displeased with Sanders. Hillary Clinton did not generate any enthusiasm whatsoever, and she generated magnitudes of displeasure. We saw this potentiality from the very beginning.

In the end, super delegates failed to do exactly the thing that Democrats insist they are designed to do: pick the more electable candidate.

Mainly yes, Was she going to help them? Maybe? But Democrats often talk of the White Working Class voter, specifically its male voters as a demographic they just wish would die out enough that they can ignore forever.

Trump managed to also capture the White Working Class female vote as well. So I think this election also proves that women do not collectively form a "Class," of voters.

Since there's no severe legal recourse, those ppl can actually vote as they please. A few bucks penalty (in his case $1000.00) is all they usually face (state dependent).

Two can play that game. If trump had won the popular vote but not the EC his supporters would be having an epic meltdown.

Hmm, I see it as a plausible scenario for, say, Florida which was very close to end up selecting Clinton. That said, now that Trump has been declared by every media as the victor, they will be much less inclined to do so.

    And?

No one cares if he consensually grabbed anyone.

The problem is, he was bragging about doing it without consent.

President Bush 43, by most accounts an ignorant buffoon, won the 2000 election, despite losing the popular vote. During his tenure, we saw the worst terrorist act the world has ever seen, which led directly into two wars (the second was 100% optional and unjustified) which cost thousands of American lives, trillions of American dollars, and further damaged our relations with the Middle East. We also saw the housing bubble burst, plunging our country into a recession, and between 2000 and 2008 he oversaw a net gain of about zero jobs.

If the country survived that, the country will survive Trump. We just don't have to like it.

Trump can't wave a magic wand and make all his promised policies come true. Myself and most of my family won't actually be directly affected by most of them anyhow, but my heart goes out to the poor denied health care, or health care subsidies, when the ACA is revoked; any minorities who are stopped and frisked just for being "suspicious"; any gay and/or Muslim Americans who will face increasingly difficult times ahead sanctioned by our President's and Vice President's open public statements and proposed policy; and especially the single parents whose taxes will provably go up under Trump's tax plan. I'm pre-emptively saddened for any jobs that could be lost if Trump's trade plans and diplomacy cost us trade -- 45% tariffs are no joke -- or families that find themselves at increased hardship when overseas items (such as Mexican produce) become more expensive. Experts differ on how many, but it's a very realistic result.

The only silver lining I see right now, is that Putin won't have to flex his muscles now that Trump is in power. In theory, he'll decide that Ukraine and Syria are enough. I hope that's the case, and by all logical accounts it should be -- Russia's not in a great place economically, and they have bigger things they need to worry about than a Cold War.

But we are a great country. We are strong. We shall endure. We've been through worse.

We just don't have to like it.

Yeah the democrats need to dump the centrist corporate third way politico's. That wing got their chosen candidate in Hillary Clinton this year, and she lost to the worst possible candidate to run in decades if not hundreds of years. One of the few bright things from the Trump win is that it will destroy the power this wing holds in the democratic party.

Accept that millennials are your future. Accept their brand of politics and what they believe in. The millennials are the future of voting and they hate what the republican party stands for. They will dominate elections for decades to come. All the democrats need to do is give them a reason to come out and vote.

No. But if she lets the guy have sex with her...that's not really rape. You know what the word "let" means right?

Anyone else find it somewhat comical that when Trump was running for nominee then president he complained the system was geared against him and people like Clinton laughed at him, but now despite Clinton apparently getting more votes he's going to be president due to how the system works haha.

    Turnabout is fair play.
