Alliance So another nerf in 7.1.5 is how blizzard is fixing warlocks bad class design??

They should fire warlock devs for not playing their own class, warlocks was a great class, now we need a wheelchair to move from boss mechanics, but if you move your dps drop 100%, you use to be tanky but we got nerfed. Whats the point of having separete talent trees for pve and pvp if you still cant fix a class that was great???

Class updates for Patch 7.1.5 are still in progress, with much more to come. Please keep that in mind if you're looking at datamining.

Did he say that you simpleton?? They didn't mention anything about ranking. Do you have any reading comprehension?

The class is in a very rough spot now and is a cumbersome as hell to play. We work around but there are so many changes that can be made to make the class more fun.

More nerfs in 7.1.5 is not necessarily how blizz intends to fix warlocks' bad class design. There is nothing to suggest blizz has any intention of fixing warlocks' bad class design.

More nerfs in 7.1.5 should be interpreted as blizz's latest set of nerfs, to be implemented before the next sets of nerfs.

Isn't 7.1.5 still a month or so out though? This could mean that there is a strong possibility of an additional set of nerfs being implemented prior to the aforementioned set in question.

And then they said in Blizzcon that classes will be getting their utility back!
YEAH MAN LOOK AT ALL THE PRUNED ABILITIES WE'RE GETTING BACK

LOOK AT ALL THE FREQUENTLY USED TALENTS THAT ARE GOING BASELINE FOR US

cant decide if last nerf or more nerfs inc, will sit tightly and wait in anticipation for the next wave of nerfs, because tanks still do less damage then warlocks.

The same scenario for Spriest. I feel for dotclasses, they dont seem to grasp it tbh... Oh well, can always go mage, they seem to be Blizz' golden ticket

    There's no nerf, calm down.

Are you blind? Reverse Entropy and Eradication is now in the same tier, Demon bolt got a nerf, Drain Soul was nerfed to do Drain Life damage (and no, that sorry of an excuse Malefic Grasp talent is not a buff), Demonic Sacrifice down by 25%, etc.

    We're nerfed.

Baked in 98% of talent choices my ass.

Fire got substantial nerfs and Shadow Priest is probably the Strongest DPS class on live right now, calm down.

It's clear they are making sweeping changes to a lot of classes and this is only the first step.

Good luck going to find another spec that at some point won't get nerfed by Blizz. This isn't something that only happens to warlock. Sometimes you are king, sometimes you are not. Don't take it so personally.

I hear a lot of "xxx will fix it be patient and wait" yet we are well into this expac and the issues are getting worse not better and we started in arguably a bad spot compared to other classes. The design direction we keep seeing from the devs is a distinctly negative one. I'm not saying that with celestial alignment of gear, circumstances, and outskilling our peers locks can be made to work but we are still getting less results for more effort in an expac that demands more time commitment per toon than any other. In short it's not even fun and the devs keep stomping on it with each patch.

Kinda sad people are already retreating into their "it's only ptr" shells. Mostly the same people who kept repeating the same thing all the way through alpha and beta.

Mages got nerfs, ah, but it took less than 24 hours for them to get a reassuring Blue post. What did warlocks get for the first weeks of live? Fuck all, until that Q&A where the shitstorm became so great they could no longer ignore it. And then we got the stuff about "doublign down on strengths"

If 7.1.5 live is anything like PTR, then it's all been hot air about addressing warlock issues. The changes amount to a rebranding, because the core problems (affliction and demo ramp, affliction and demo low bursat, affliction and demo target switching, affliction and destruction terrible single target)...they remain exactly the same.

Liek making drain soul baseline and nerfing it so that it does the same as drain life with a purple noode, putting destruction's single target talents on the same lines and also it;s aoe talents...destruction pvp gutted with one, just one, viable build and the change to Shadowburn/Conflag meaning that you would not actuall yuse Chaos Bolt after they buffed it and nerfed SB to make CB the definign destruction spell....

    etc.

People who continue to repeat "it's only ptr" mantra is a cancer. Blizzard cannot even change tooltip for reverse entropy and remove "reduce cast time of rain of fire by 0.5" and yet these people continue their mindless defence of people who intentionally nerfed already weak class again and again and continue to do that. These retarded changes will make it to the live like they did last time.

They keep saying that's it's only the first set of changes and many more are to come. They said it before , during the deployment and are still saying it.

Celestalon even tweeted that the tuning pass will be done after ALL the changes are up. Please stop being so cancerous all the time.

They have made a ton of questionable changes before, and when pointed out by the community, as well as acknowledged by the developers, they proceeded to do nothing about it.

That is why a LOT of warlock players are not going to settle down AGAIN when being told that "things are not final".

There's a difference between not settle down and being straight out insulting.

As there is a difference between ignoring a class or making good decisions. What is your point?
