What do you consider to be the best game you've ever played?
Shadow of the Colossus
The masterpiece of the PS2, and one of the only two games I'd unhesitatingly give a 10/10 to (the other being the best JRPG for the Wii, Xenoblade Chronicles). It's an absolutely magnificent piece of art, and an experience so compelling I feel the urge to play it every year. The incredible music, the unique art, the enthralling storytelling, the minimalist gameplay... everything. Without SotC, we wouldn't have the Dark Souls series as it was the Team Ico games that inspired Miyazaki to become a game developer, and anyone who's played the 'Souls series can immediately see heavy traces of SotC in them.

Witcher 3. Top-notch story, unforgettable characters, excellent visuals, immersive music, "important" side quests which feel hand-crafted, and a large world ripe for exploration.

GTA:V. Full depth story, the genre (3PS) is exactly the kind I love, the missions are diverse, there's a variety of side missions, in general there's a ton of content for you to sink time into, the multiplayer is awesome. And more than anything, the attention to detail is ridiculous.

Nostalgia bullshit, if WoW shut down today everyone would call it the best game they'd ever played. It's always what you 'used' to play that was the best ever somehow isn't it?

Not at all. I like both retro and modern like I listed. Crash 2 and Myst had huge impacts on me as a kid and I'd contribute them to me being a collector. To claim people only like retro games because of "Nostalgia bullshit" is just silly. Originally Posted by CptEgo

WoW - no other game comes to even 1% of that. With 400 days played - can't be beat.
Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

Best game I've ever played is Half-Life, or Half-Life 2, hard to choose between them so I'll just call it a tie for first place.
Best multiplayer game I've ever played is Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour.
Best recent game is Life is Strange or Rise of the Tomb Raider.
