I thought I read that these auctions were for St. Jude or some such and they have been happening since before the election and have raised millions of dollars. Whichever son it is though has recently cancelled the auction to avoid the appearance of conflict of interest.
Pretty awesome when innuendo and guilty until proven innocent can take away from a great cause.
