Yes it was, I got it for $321.... It's awesome, I am sorry you missed it..

I wish I could advise better, but I went from 1080p60hz to 1440p165hz so I can't really comment on which is better.... This is all opinion and based on info I found when I was depating 4k60hz vs 1440p120+. If you are really serious about FPS then the higher refresh is probably better. I play bf1 and battlefront and it made a noticeable difference there.. I turn the settings down as low as I need to to get to 120fps.. But the 1440p is amazing for any single player game. If you are more relaxed about your FPS games then I would go for higher res, but if you are more serious I would go for higher refresh.

I went from 120Hz 1080p to 144hz 1440p very recently. Though I am just using both now Acer Predator XB271HU being the new upgrade. Very nice monitor

Went from 1080p @ 60 Hz to 1080p @ 144Hz. The smoothness is an incredible difference, and I'd highly recommend it. 1080p was still enough screen real-estate for me.

I read a lot of opinions and reviews. If your monitor is under 24/25", 1080p is fine. Anything above 24/25" I'd go with 1440p.

I kept eyeing DELL S2716DG but the price shot up for no reason, it's now 60euro more @ 626e making BenQ ZOWIE XL2730 better priced at this moment, though I am still on the bend for monitor upgrade. Using Dell U2414H with perfect panel (no backlight bleed).
    PM me weird stuff :3
