READ BEFORE ANSWERING:
- IF I SET MY LOOT SPECIALIZATION TO PROT SPECIFICALLY, I STILL GET OFFERED INTEL TRINKETS
- IF I SET MY LOOT SPECIALIZATION TO AUTO (PROT), I STILL GET OFFERED INTEL TRINKETS
There are currently 4 world quests up offering me trinkets, 3 out of which are intellect as main stat. If I do them they stay intellect. I don't play holy, I have the Silver Hand but it hasn't been used since I got it.
How the fuck do I make this stop, trinket upgrades are hard enough to get without this bullshit.

It was like this since beginning of expansion. My resto/balance druid had excellent set of agility trinkets from those quests.

Woldquests offer loot based on class, not loot spec. That is also fine. What isn't fine though is that you can get that crap in emissary chests as well..

So there's a constant shortage of tanks since the beginning of WoW and their genius idea is to suggest to me to try holy? What the fuck, do they enjoy giving DPS players 20-30 min queues?
How is that fine? All my other loot is prot based, only trinkets are fucked up like this.

World quests give class loot and not spec dependent. You get what you're given and can't "make it stop".
Also, ditch the caps.

Which is absolutely fine. What is NOT fine is that you can get the same crap from emissary chests as a reward - an idiocy a person above me reported as well.
No more time wasted in WoW.. still reading this awesome forum, though

Its based on class and not spec so you can't make it stop giving you intellect trinkets.

Got the exact same problem as a ret paladin. Int, int, int -- endlessly.
Until you have already gotten a better one from elsewhere, of course. Then you might see the occasional strength trinket.

i actually made a ticket about this when i was levelling up my monk as a dps & was forever getting int trinket rewards from WQ.
to cut a long story short, the answer was you'll have to wait until a dps trinket drops as it doesnt matter what you set your main spec loot as.
nope, not the answer i wanted to hear either.

Because they give you loot based on class and it has been their expressed goal to not have you switch through all your specs to check which loot you might maybe need in which spec. That is the reason. It's only trinkets and relics as well, but I guess bitching about fire relics isn't so bad to you. Originally Posted by Kul Tiras

All of your armor changes from strength to intellect when you change spec too.
Yes, I agree, it's sad when you don't get a prot trinket from a WQ, but you know there are dungeons out there that you can get trinkets from too right?

You have no idea what hyperbole means I am offered THREE FUCKING INTEL TRINKETS OUT OF 4, that is way more than "suggesting me to play another spec", that is hindering my capacity to get gear upgrades, especially when it happens 70-80% of the time when a trinket upgrade is offered

I honestly wish those quests/emissary non-spec shit would fuck off so I don't accidentally get useless 880 trinkets I won't use but could have used for the spec I play.

All your other loot is NOT Prot, but Paladin. Given that Trinkets are currently the ONLY item obtainable in Legion that can't be used by every spec for a class, it's the most obvious. WQs don't give a fuck bout what your main spec is, they just assign loot based on your class. (With that being said though, I do think that int trinkets are set to appear a bit too much - As a guardian main, I've only had 2(!) agi trinkets pop up on the WQ list, and countless int trinkets. I think that is because WQs are the same for everybody, and int specs are the majority of specs in the game. Originally Posted by Kul Tiras
