Is it just increased gathering speed, or something else? I'm a little confused on the difference of these rank 1 and rank 3 wordings.

What does it mean when you gather something more effectively?
Isn't it ironic how education is important, yet people forget all about it when they visit the internet?

For herbs it means you get actual herbs instead of seeds or whatever it is.
For archeology, means you dig faster.
Don't know about mining.

More effectively means you get more for gathering professions. Speed is constant - only changed by the glove enchants.

yes I.e mining you get more items. herb you get more ect
