I had a ton of Garfield, Farside, and C&H books when I was growing up. Awesome stuff.
As far as digital, Zac Gorman hands down with his Magical Game Time.

Calvin & Hobbes for short little comic strips.
I haven't read many full length comics, but IDW's MLP series, The Walking Dead, and Injustice: Gods Among Us were solid.
