People compare the liberal movement with 1984, but I am much more inclined to compare it to Brave New World: Sedated people who seek pleasure and orgy porkies and who screech and cling to their Soma drug whenever they have to doubt, question things, feel uncomfortable or someone confronts them.

The neo-liberals bow down to crypto-fascism and are mentally unable to question their own movement because that would trigger heavy cognitive-dissonance.
Can anybody translate this for me?

Just because you have a history degree doesn't make you an expert. Depends on the university and how left or right leaning they are. A history degree from Harvard isn't the same as one from FIU.

He is over reacting to the perceived bias he sees in the court system.

I think he is unaware of how sensationalist the piece in question is and how light the actual punishment of the judge will be.

That and I don't think he knows that in the courtroom the judge isn't allowed to show any bias this includes having items tied to political campaigns on display.

Ignorance when it comes to political ideology?

Always amazes when some people equate the extremist Left where communism sits, with the extremist Right where fascism sits.

No, a judge should be impartial and not show any bias.
Wearing a MAGA-hat would be the opposite of that.

Being triggered would be something like whining that a judge has Mexican heritage.

“Brief appearance with the hat. Pissed off the rest of the judges because they all voted for Hillary, so. I was the only Trump supporter up there but that’s OK,” Zabel said just before court closed, according to the certified transcript.

A Canadian judge that complains his colleagues voted for Clinton is too stupid to be a judge anyway.
Or better yet, how did he become a judge.
    Canadians voting for Clinton?

It isn't but you are basing your entire point on moral outrage like most of your posts and banking on my ignorance. Even now you try to dismiss rather then argue your point across. I find that rather lamentable.

But in the US, this would likely be overturned. It's perfectly fine for a judge to have personal opinions which may disagree with the law, as long as they interpret the law impartially. It's also hilarious that people are outraged over a judge openly supporting Trump; Trump has openly said he's in favor of "originalist" - those who rule strictly by the written law - as opposed to activist judges - those who interpret the law as how they feel it should be. The former are far more fair and impartial.
Na, while not a judge, this should give you some idea of precedence.

Those rules are not unique to Canada. it is applied in the United states, United kingdom, Australia, South Korean, Germany, France, Belgium, list goes on you get the idea. Case closed.

I did jury duty recently in england. On one visit to court, there was a court version of a supermarket trolley parked very nearby the jury entrance to the court, filled with wigs.

i may have borrowed one on my way out.

Not to mention the judge agrees with the decision and agrees it was a breach of judicial ethics.

    This is SUCH a non-story.

I could explain it to you but it would derail the thread completely. Death isn't something I find all that terrifying I've seen people burned alive and with their faces scalped off and left in the streets to wake up screaming as warnings to other 12 year olds who refuse to fight for allah.

Seeing horrendous things is admittedly a uncommon sight in my line of work but one I am rather numb too. You must use words not shock images to sway me.

    Last I checked, a Canadian can't vote for a U.S. President.
