So CNN is quick to put some bs into their headlines, then rigorously defend themselves reporting it, because no matter if it happened or not, it is big so you need to report it(which is exactly the reasoning that **g Anderson Cooper came up with in interview with Kelyanne.) Does it really surprise anyone much? CNN are little more than a tabloid, good thing many more people come to realise this as a result of this nonsense. No, really, this stuff is golden.(That's what he said ;P)

Something new did pop up. Biden said that both he and Obama were briefed.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/12/politi...ort/index.html
That goes along with CNNs initial report that was based on the briefing.
Because all they reported on was the existence of a dossier and the supposed contents given to the FBI but even claimed the information wasn't yet substantiated. The existence was then confirmed by the intelligence agencies, McCain, and Biden.
People keep conflating what CNN did with what Buzzfeed did.

No one is saying the document is true. Buzzfeed was absolutely wrong in posting what they posted. People are putting the two incidents in the same bucket.
What CNN said, and was backed up by intelligence agencies, Biden, and McCain, is that the dossier exists, that McCain gave it to the FBI, that it was from a non US intelligence contact, and what it supposedly entails. All while giving the disclaimer that the information is not yet substantiated and only that the accusations were at least concerning enough to people like McCain to warrant submitting forward for an investigation.
The news isn't fake, CNN said that intelligence gave Trump and Obama information that according to a Mi6 investigator there were uncoroborated reports the Russians have dirt on Trump that compromises him personally and financially. Now wether those reports are real are yet to be distinguished as factual but the giving of that information to Pres and Pres-elect is factual and was reported on.
Obviously the ski-no wasn't slow enough for you to follow.
If you push a button that finds you a 'random group' and it gives you a random group of people with random skill and random knowledge then you have no right to complain that a 'random group' button did what it was designed to do. The fault lies in your inability to make friends to play with instead of relying on a button designed to be random. It is a 'random group' button, not a 'best of the best' button.
2014 Gamergate: "If you want games without hyper sexualized female characters and representation, then learn to code!"
2023: "What's with all these massively successful games with ugly (realistic) women? How could this have happened?!"
the reason the document is being taken so seriously is due to the already verified ties to russia Trump has.
already verified;
-he has massive financial investments in russia, which can be traced to Putin
-his top 3 advisors on his campaign had ties to russia and putin
-some of his business ventures are backed by the russian criminal underground
these dossiers likely simply contain the dirty details of what is already plain to see.“Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia,” Trump’s son, Donald Jr., said at a real estate conference in 2008, according to a trade publication, eTurboNews.
Can we assume you have no sources for items #1 and #3? If so, that would be breaking news, if there ever was any. These are not facts that you are presenting, they are conspiracy theories, which are not allowed here. Well, at least not unless they are anti-Trump or anti-GOP.
When people take the word of 4chan and reddit over intelligence agencies, security specialists and independent professional investigators... is it a surprise that this sack of squashes won the election? If the trend continues, in 2020 Michael Moore will be running against Alex Jones. And in 2024 - Anonymous from 4chan against SickMyDuck666 from tumblr!
Do you not see WHY that is though? If no media can be trusted, people resort to whatever news suits them the best. The root problem is dishonest and corrupt media, not the fact that bull shit media exists. Fake news has always existed. The tool to combat fake news was always reputable media outlets, of which there are none remaining.
I agree. According to the standard being set by posters here, everything is true until it's disproven. There is a term for that, where you expect others to provide sources that refute your own unsourced claim, but I forget what it is.
By this logic, nobody can prove that I can't fly. Ergo, I can in fact fly.
Again, completely wrong. Buzzfeed isn't a person and CNN broke the news. Check the first pages of this same thread.
