I remember when Obama got elected in 08 it was oh my god "death panels, socialism, terrorists are gonna win". Simply put do you think the rhetoric is sensationalized?

I should also say, I'm not very old but I do not remember it being this bad when Bush won.

For the most part yes there's too much "WE'RE GOING TO DIE" rhetoric being thrown around nowadays but the GOP and their ilk completely deserve it for the bullshit they pulled for 8 years. Now it's all about "coming together" and Democrats being "the bigger man". Nah, why anyone is at all surprised that this would happen as a result of the election is pretty funny. If Clinton had won you can be damn sure the right would not have been gracious in defeat...

It's absolutely sensationalized, but there are some things that are pretty damn alarming and we SHOULD be concerned about. This shouldn't be a partisan thing either, we SHOULD hold every president to a high standard of service.

End? No. It'll die down as his presidency (barring impeachment) becomes normalized and people realize they're not going to die and the potential for likes/views gets old. But it won't end until the next president is elected and even then people will continue.

To this day people still call Obama the anti-christ, a muslim, kenyan, dictator etc.

I think its more sensationalized. Then again I cannot recall now, it was 8 years ago.
