How much better is Pot of the old war over prolonged power

OK common sense is its better, but how much? I neither want to waste my lifetime in suramar farmin roses for the old war pots nor spending 300-400 gold per pot on the auction house. Prolonged Power pots are more or less free. Still, if it reallly was worth it i would make this sacrifice.

Anyone got figures like "During Bloodlust Old War = ~20% more damaged over prolonged" or "During Execute phase its 10%..." ? I mean, does Old War make a really notable difference or is it something minor (<10% above prolonged power) for die hard minmaxing?

The difference is probably not quite as large for fury, but for arms at least 1 old war would increase your damage about as much as 3-4 prolonged power, guesstimatively (going by old war damage from one of my logs and what I recall strength's dps per point value was from my latest sim) :>

Old war is much stronger than prolonged for both specs.

Old War scales with haste so as fury who wants to have a substantial amount of haste it's very strong. On Hero pulls my first Old War alone is 6-7 million damage.

Old War is vastly stronger. It's hard to really say by how much percentage wise but it's a fuckton that's for sure. The damage of Old War pots has only gone up for us this patch now that we use Frothing which means the pot does another 15% damage a bunch of the time. A single pot used during hero/lust does about 7mill damage as Fourze said above. Pretty dumb.
