He explicitly said he does not believe there is sufficient evidence that man-made climate change is a thing. Great, he's not denying that the climate is changing but he's still denying responsibility so in the end it's all the same.

the market for energy is moving towards green tech on it's own. Solar panels are cheaper then they have ever been, countries all over the world including china are making sweeping changes towards green energy solutions. hell, more then a few states in the US are still moving in that direction. coal and oil are going to dry up either on their own or by the global economy making them obsolete.

If he truly accepts the reality (belief is the wrong word you don't believe or disbelieve reality, you accept it or you don't) of how we are changing the climate then he should simply come out and say it. Something along the lines of -

"I believe mankind is responsible for the overwhelming majority of the change we are seeing in the Earths climate via the release of greenhouse gases. No other possible factor comes remotely close to explaining the observed phenomenon. As an appointee I will continue an push forward the work of the prior administration on this issue"

You've got two options in front of you;

1> Scientists are doing their jobs properly, and anthropogenic climate change is the best explanation for the metric tons of data that has been collected about the global climate and how it's changing in the modern era, or

2> Almost all climate scientists around the world, no matter where they're working, are all colluding in some huge conspiracy to manufacture and twist data to present a false conclusion, without any concrete evidence of any such collaboration at any level whatsoever, with basically nobody providing any alternatives, and with no personal benefit to any of them for participating in this supposed fraud.

You're siding with the latter. That's the literal definition of a conspiracy theory.
