Not really blown away by our 7.2 class mount

It's a flying disk. Anyone else think that compared to what other classes get as their mount, this is a bit underwhelming?

I've been playing this game from the start and I've never made a "look at what class X gets, it's much better than what we have" thread in my life but in this case it does seem a bit ridiculous to me.

I rather like them, especially the fire version. Gotta see it ingame, But I wished to have flying discs as a mount since 3.0 and Malygos.

Already using those, and now I can use ones matching my spec

Me neither - I already have the Loremaster MoP mounts - which is pretty much the same.

My ideas:

Fire mage: A unique pheonix
Frost mage: A flying elemental made of ice
Arcane mage : Embedded in a flying ball of arcane energy.

Now that's making specs feel different

I mean it's pretty shitty. But if it was epic you'll just see every Mage using it and that will be pretty shitty also. I'd rather stick to mounts you don't see too often or raid mounts.

I was really negative when it was shown in the panels some months ago, but they seem ok now. Frost and fire versions are decent, but it's not something unique and new like the Shaman/Priest one, or badass as the DK one. Average at best.

You can say the same about a few of the mounts.

The DK mount is an anorexic ICC achiev mount.

Monk is the rep mount from MoP with tier gear on it.

Pallie is just a horse with shoes.

Warlock is just an undead mount with warlock features.

Warrior is Galakros' special brother.

So at least the mage one isn't the only mount that isn't a copy. It is way cooler then the flying disc from MoP, maybe it will have cool effects.

It is like Galakros hit a wall so hard that it's head became flat. OOORRR Galakros had sex with the DH mount and this baby came out.

I think it's decent. I like the detail. Like others have said--at least it isn't the Warrior mount. Or a horse.

I'll take it! I do think the Shaman and Priest ones are the coolest looking though!

Compared to other mounts like Shaman, ours is complete trash. Very disappointed. Lazy by them

I'm loving it, the MoP one would of had been a LOT better if it didn't have the cloud under it. That was 2 different mounts they could of had, us on a cloud like the flying nimbus from DB/DBZ and us on the disc from EoE.

Out of all of them, it seems like Shamans got the best one.

If they started doing that they would be making 3 times the mounts they are now. There is no way they are dumping 36 new mounts on the game in a patch.
