i am fine with that statement. i agree.

but the same goes the other way around. i dont have to quit the game to "boycott" that shitty system. i can just stop farming and stop supporting this system with grinding like no tomorrow.

and even if i dont do this, at least i am not whining about it. its laughable to me, to go meeeeh-shitty-system, while doing nothing than grinding in this shitty system since release. to me, thats just hillarious.

either i stop doing that (again, this doesnt mean stop playing my favorite game) or i just dont complain. but who in the world is takin one serious who complain about things and at the same time do/support exactly these things extremely ???

How can OP claim to play in a top guild and yet not level alts to beat this (bad) legendary system? Probably just in a mid level guild, world50+.
I don't get it tbh. You either go casual and chill while the system gives you trash legendaries, or go serious and do what's must be done. This middle place is nonsensical.



At moments like this we see what hell of a drug WoW is. It's like cocaine with a casino built-in. You see people clearly suffering, frustated, angry, and yet they can't move themselves to quit for good because this drug is way too much into their system.
Plus with all RNG there's more than ever the obsessive gambler's hope: "next time it WILL drop!" "just few more m+ and it'll come" "if my next one isn't good i'll quit"(doesn't quit) and so on. It's sad.

Sometimes i think Blizzard is a disgusting company preying on human's vulnerabilities, such as collection compulsion, gambling behavior, escape from reality, ego-driven competition, and so on.
I spit on such leeches.

As a fire mage, I got Chest -> Helmet -> Sephuz -> Trinket -> Prydaz (yesterday). How do I not loose hope?

Chest->Belt(back in EN)->Boots->Prydaz. I feel you, I became numb after the boots and I'm currently indifferent and ok. I do not hope nor expect anything good, most likely Sephuz is next or those new fire gloves. I await patiently to add them to my orange trash family.

i have to add that i am not happy with the outcome of my argumentation. its my oppinion and that didnt changed. but i feel sorry for the op, comin here to share his happiness about fiiiiinally gettin his legendary, and met someone like me. even when this is my oppinion i am not ok with that.

its nothing wrong in being happy about achieving something heavy, regardless how stupid (in some eyes, not all) it may be. so, with this sentiment in mind, i will say this:

sorry op. it wasnt my plan to slow down your happyness about your lucky day! if that was the case (hopefully you piss on some inet jerks statements), i am sorry for that. as i mentioned a few posts above, i feel happy for you reaching finally your goal. i know its a great feeling. and thats the only thing that counts. celebrate it. and dont listen to funbreakers like me

i can't use the dragon breath helm due to 4 set, i literally only just got the fire bracers last week, and the frost gloves i haven't used yet due to not having enough gear to make TV frost work properly, so i'm forced to using amulet+other, also until the bracers were nerfed, the helm was never seen as a "bis" item, it was purely just there as a nice buff for aoe dmg and a tool in M+, of which i have run thousands of at this point.

Actually complaining in this situation is pretty much the correct thing to do, as well as normal thing to do if you enjoy something but there's a part about it that you would prefer to be different. The legendary system is pretty bad and even blizzard has acknowledged that if they could redo it they would do things different, and have done changes such as what we saw in 7.1.5. If noone complained then changes most likely wouldn't have happened.

Also since the legendary system has such a large affect on the rest of the game if you're a somewhat serious player completely not bothering trying to get legendaries is not really an option. I don't go out of my way to get legendaries but I can't help but constantly hope that whenever I finish something that can reward a legendary that I may just finally have a second non utility legendary. Also I have definitely done some content that I might not otherwise have done just because it had that chance of giving me a legendary.

I have 5. Both rings, chest, boots, and neck. Please explain to me, and I will enjoy this very much, how that is somehow good?

To put it in perspective: I've ran 500+ mythic + runs, cleared EN on 4 difficulties for months, cleared 4 levels of tov (2/3m), never missed a cache, have killed every rare, and cleared Mythic 1s.

I got BL ring -> bracer -> helm, and switched to arcane and got the bracer (i wanted kilt tho), not bad at all

Getting 5 isn't just luck, it's hard work and grind.. how much of that it takes and which ones you get is luck dependant tho

Well, congrats! I'm waiting on my fourth. Of the three I've gotten, not only has each been pretty far behind my guildies, but two have been pretty "meh". Here's hoping for fourth is a good one... and that the fifth comes the same day :3

Got the belt as my first, when it still sucked.
Then Prydaz, Chest and Norgannons.

I still have the shitty hands, Seephuz (not that bad butstill has a bitter taste attached to it as one of the 2 joke legendaries) and the not so great trinket to go.

Why in gods name they chose to make 3/10 of the legendaries way better than the rest is absolutely fucking beyond me. Totally bonkers.

Sub is cancelled and probably going to stay cancelled till 7.2, when I'll farm the new artifact skins and quit again. Maybe.

Trust me man, I know the feels. Even for someone not as competitive as me, the ones without good legendaries competing vs ones with good ones, they start feeling hopeless. It's just a terrible system.

Dude, I don't know how. It was my 6th/7th legendary. I saved 4 caches, because I knew I was getting a legendary soon (KP calculator) and so that's why I was recording. Got the boots, another upsetting legendary. Made me so sad, got off and missed half of raid, decided to get on...raided and the belt dropped..like wtf? Good luck though :3

Yep. You can get insanely lucky like me. But it's mostly a grind of the bad luck protection, it's taken me a lot of content to get the 6 I got, the 7th was just pure luck.

Yes, I can't believe some people take criticism/complaining as a bad thing. It's an opinion. That's how the world works, everyone has an opinion and everyone has the right to express how they feel about something. 99% of players will complain to you that the legendary system is terrible. Complaining and telling them the system sucks gets them to change it and not make the same mistakes next time.

Do you know me? No you don't. I didn't start off in a serious guild. I wasn't required to have an alt and I didn't know legendaries were going to be so hard to get. If I would have known I would have made 2 mages in the first place. I play because I love competing in raids. When you have dog s*** legendaries and someone else has the best. That kills everything I love to play for.

I'm the proud owner of sephuz's, norgannons and belovirs. My alt has sephuz's as well, and my other alt has norgannons. At this point, i'm thinking of just quitting until they have a different legendary system in place.

That's not a bad combo honestly. Gives a ton of stats and a lot of int which the bracers love. Also great AoE trinket, it's like helm but on a longer cooldown.

what does it matter how many you get if theyre all garbage? you could get 12 legendaries and if you still dont have the bracers and/or belt then youre going to do shit damage period.

Can't stress this enough. And the fact that they're waiting for 7.2 to fix it is just too much. That's like half a year into the expansion. Something as awful and frustrating to a significant part of the playerbase should get fixed way quicker.

Hell, i've been playing aprox 3 to 4 hours daily since release, and we had 2 fire mages on my raid team, the the first week, that mage got the bracers and ring (that was on emeral nightmare) and he quit wow 3 days later... me? i got the boots, then the belt, which by that time was SHIT, then sephuz ring, and last one i got is the gloves, that i got after they nerf combustion.... so yeah, i feel kinda down.. im doing between 70 to 90% overall percentile, but when i look my ilvl %, im SHIT, because everyone that is raking on those have the combo belt\bracers, helm\bracers... so yeah, this RNG... omg, the gap between punishment\reward is waaaay to huge... they really needed to create some sort of tokens quest line to aim for the legendary you want... or just make ALL legendary utility base, and be done with this bullshit system
