Flickering black screen when playing HotS

Hello, I'm a returning HotS player, who's come back after about 6 months of inactivity, and after I logged into the game today, I found that the game has this annoying flickering black screen during the gameplay, so has anyone had any experience with these or just knows what might be causing this?

Some more relevant info that I can provide:
Before I quit the game, it was running fine, I haven't modified any options at all during my inactivity period;
No other game has this sort of issue;
Will try to play a game later today and capture a screenshot to provide graphical insight on the issue.
