Trump's attack on media as 'enemy of the people' is disgraceful and dangerous

I'm not saying any President should, but how do we regulate the media without impinging on the freedom of the press? And who regulates it? Most likely a government body whom would have elected political masters. Just who exactly decides what is accurate? Or is this just another attempt to kick Trump in the balls?

You don't believe the media has an obligation to be accurate? If they advertise themselves and responsible, impartial and accurate then shouldn't they be? And if so, how do we regulate that?

The U.S. has defamation laws on the books already. The reason Trump hasn't yet filed a lawsuit with CNN, the New York Times, or the Washington Post is because he'd then be forced to prove they knowingly published falsehoods about him. He accuses them of lying and putting words in his mouth when there is video evidence proving otherwise. In otherwords he'd make a complete and utter ass of himself in court and would risk exposing things he really doesn't want made public.

His rants about "fake news" and "dishonest media" aren't about ethics; it's about inciting mob hatred of the media. If the "conservatives" who constantly attack CNN and the MSM for printing lies had a shred of honesty in their bodies, they'd admit that Breitbart and Infowars are the biggest horseshit producers in the media today.

Go look up the history of any of them and you'll find that's not how it happens. It's a gradual process where the boundaries are gradually pushed and ever more extreme changes take place. Right now with his undermining of democratic institutions (attacks on the free press and the court system) he is following the dictator playbook to a tee.

This, the only thing keeping Trump from becoming a dictator is Americas checks and balances. The guy is more than fine with doing whatever he wants to if he could get away with it.

If the FBI and CIA both say there is zero evidence toward these allegations.. and in our country you are innocent till proven guilty..
