I find it funny that people complain when foreigners dress and behave differently, arguing that they should adapt and respect the customs of the country they are in. But when the reverse is true then its suddenly oppression that you have to wear or behave a certain way when visiting another country. You really can't win against these sad people because they will complain about everything. Is it really that hard/offensive for you to respect the customs and traditions of the country you are visiting...

i'm no specialist, don't quote me on this, but it seems that the danger need to be real, immediate and unavoidable to justify self defense, especially lethal self defense. But i am talking about people here, that may not apply to a nation or a group of nation.

She knew where she was going and i'm almost 100% sure she knew in advance they were going to ask her to wear it before she was going to met the mufit... she made a nice stunt, i agree they should not have force her, but it's still a freaking political stunt imo...

They didnt cancel the meeting so she thought it's okay she won't, and they ultimately handed her the headscarf once she was in front of the meeting doors..... That's her version. you used to have to cover up when meeting the pope. so? Regardless of the purpose of the visit, you abide by the rules. This guys is not another priest or whatever. He is the highest authority for sunni islam in the same way the Pope is the highest religious authority for catholics. So one can follow a protocol to meet the pope but not this guy.
