This is why I'm on FF14. There is an RNG thing called "Wondrous Tails". Basically it's this book you fill up with 9 seals and try to get 1, 2 or 3 lines. It's side content. The seals are placed randomly and you can make the seals reroll into other places which is random. Point is this is RNG in side content and affects gearing and the main game in no way at all. The 3 line reward is a piece of special gear that doesn't fail materia melds but even then you don't need that gear because the basic gear is good enough to do stuff with. It's just a bonus piece of gear that you don't actually need it's just nice to have because it can save you some Gil.
Short story. RNG should have been side content in Legion. Not tied to gearing and other shit. This would have been fine imo if there wasn't so much fucking RNG already.

Ugh. I thought they'd be from any emissary cache, like the fox mount, not just the paragon caches. At least if it was from the normal caches you'd get a chance every few days instead of once in a blue moon.
Side note: still don't have the fox mount. >_> Might as well not even care about these mounts then.
I'm guessing no one bothered to read the "Mounts are tied to specific zone caches. No indications if they are a 100% drop though"
Amazing sig, done by mighty Lokann
another point at which legion can be compared to wotlk to see a better system that worked well.
how did we get mounts in wotlk? we worked up reputation and bought them. with the argent tournament, we worked up a special currency and bought them. it worked very well, it was fun.
this new thing isn't fun. at all. why can we not just go back to wotlk in terms of game design? it was the most successful point in wow's history, and is seen as the best expansion by a vast majority of wow's playerbase. it was just better.
They need to get the people who moved from the Diablo to the WoW team, off the fucking WOW team, World quests and Emissaries were a nice idea, that's it, everything else that was blatantly ripped from Diablo is just. eugh, no. go away.
Guys! GUYS! Don't worry. It's not Blizzard's fault for making all these RNG rewards with a grindfest.
It's the raid leaders. Blame them.
we need more more more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dont worry, its their way of extending content because we all know (i think) that after the 2º tier on each expansion 75% of their team leave to build the next one, the 15% left are just for building the last raid and some bugfixes and then.... 1 year without nothing
so ya, expect more RNG in other ways in 7.2 and 7.3 so for them we players have something to do and we dont have any reason to complain
If blizzard is happy we are happy, isn't that what they think on the immense good feedback that many players give (especially on AP and legendary) against their ideas and they simply ignore or make it even worse?
GL to mount collectors, i dont care for this mounts but respect who do
Atm i only login for raids and only because have almost 2M and pay with gold, if it was by money 1000% sure i wasn't playing this casino
ok, they are really taking it a bit too far with the rng for my taste
especially for such terrible mounts.

Why not just have mounts being a reward for reaching exalted? It's a fun reward for reaching the end of a faction. This is a stupid and unnecessary, 20k fucking rep.
Because Exalted is piss-easy to get, and at this point it would literally just be giving 5 free mounts to everyone.
The mounts are rewards and incentives for world quests, which people are doing all the time anyway. They are not meant to be something you "grind" out in one go... they are stretch rewards for ongoing play.

The thought of having to do so many wqs just for a chance to get the mounts is annoying. It's so simple (And would be better) to just slap them as an Exalted vendor item for gold.
Isn't it ironic how education is important, yet people forget all about it when they visit the internet?
