    Considering OCing my CPU

    Rig Specs:
    CPU: Intel i7 5820 HW-E
Mobo: ASRock x99 Killer Fatility Edition
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance (32gb) 2133mhz DDR4
    GPU: EVGA 1080 FTW
    SSD: Raided Samsung Evo 250gbs
    Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 750ww
CPU Cooler: Deepcool gamer storm Cpt Cooler (LC) 120mm radiator

    Playing on 2 BenQ Xl2411z 144hz 1ms gaming monitors.

My questions is would you recommend OCing for better gaming performance? the rig runs super cool, i have 7 chassis fans in a huge case, tons of air flow, and the CPU is liquid cooled. After a lot of reading forums it would appear OCing to 3.8-4.0 would be a pretty easy load, and the performance would greatly increase!

Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

3.8-4.0 is mild oc, 5820K is a decent overclocker, most of them can go 4.4-4.5.
You'd get good improvements even at 4.0.

From everything i've read, i just use the auto overclocking software built into my mobo? From what ive read it seems easy enough, i would definately like to see the improved frame rate in game.

Auto oc usually results in high temps, make sure you have the thermal headroom.

I would probably want to go with a more custom route. I certainly have the thermal head room though. I know the maximum i would be looking at after the OC is ~80c for maximum stress during the stress test, considering stock it doesnt get over 50c i think itll be fine

BIOS OC is always more stable, you also have more control over your hardware. Your hardware isnt brand new, there is for sure a bunch of video guide how to do it on your specific motherboard.
