Oh god I forgot that game was so soon. Can the Patriots have communication errors and things for a few more weeks! That'd be great!

10 days off though, they got a lot of time now to fix things. I feel like this was a critical win for the Pats funnily enough at least for the time being anyhow. Had they lost, I don't know. I guess if they had lost, they'd still have the same things to fix anyway. But the Pats are actually chasing a team in their division for once.

Well, I wouldn;t call it chasing yet with only 4/5 games in the books, but the main thing the Bills did that is important for them (and impressive) is they beat the Falcons AND the Broncos, 2 of the most challenging opponents left on the schedule for the Patriots. That more or less forces the Patriots to have to win those too, otherwise the Bills win on common opponents if it gets to that. Not going to be easy to beat both those teams. Luckily the Bills lost to the Panthers too, so that's one less worry.

I'd say it's a miracle the Pats are above .500 now. First team ever to allow 300 passing yards five games in a row.

Don't worry, Patriots fans, the Bills offense is a no show this year. Eventually the defense won't be able to carry the team.

You saw how much Brady got hit last night? Against the worst pass rush in the league? Playing against good pass rush could be dangerous. New problems arising in the Oline. I feel like that would be more the 5 day turn around, but we'll see.

It might just be me, but the Patriots have looked distinctly mortal so far this season.

So I thought I finally got over that stage in every fan's life where you have utter contempt for the NFL.

Then they go and air a new special on the Tuck Rule game, I lasted 5 minutes before I couldn't watch anymore.

I remember watching that live, utter befuddlement that it wasn't a fumble. Still BS.

Oh fumble all day. But thanks refs!

This season is showing that Edelman is more important than Gronk, to Brady anyway. Also, defense looked better but some of it was just bad play by the Bucs. Pats should probably be 2-3, possibly 1-4. This season has the smell of 2009 all over again.

Lol Quinton Jefferson broke his hand first practice after being signed by the Seahawks off the Rams practice squad. Cast that shit in a club and start knocking shit around.

Cliff Avril's injury sounds a bit more optimistic that he'll play this year again. Scary stinger. Malik McDowell might have a shot to play this season. Carroll finally revealing he had a really bad concussion and they'll begin testing him in two weeks to see if he can practice. Carroll also shed some light on Deshawn Shead saying hes way ahead of schedule and may be able to play right off the PUP window which is remarkable.

Do you have any idea the implications had that call not happened? Like the levels of history changing events you'd be looking at?

The referee in charge was Walt Coleman.

He still officiates roughly 15-17 games a season.

He's officiated 31 NFL teams since the Tuck Rule game at least 9/10 times.

He hasn't officiated a Raiders game once. Not one.

Oh right, I forgot. That SB game was the start of the Rams decline.

Faulk vs Gannon in a ground vs air shoot off would have been an amazing game.

I hated the Rams at that time, my Saints fandom was largely begun when they knocked the Rams out the year prior. If the Raiders could have beaten them, I was already a fan, I might be as big a Raiders fan as I am a Saints fan, plus my favorite player, Tim Brown, would have his ring.
