I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume the defense is some weird thing to adjust to (especially coming from a Rex Ryan shitshow)

I think the Patriots brought him in and dropped everything on him and cause he was high paid, expected him to learn and do everything. It seems however from his comments that he's not that comfortable doing everything and would rather just concentrate on his 1 man in the game plan and that's it.

Now, you can have different opinions on that, you could say he's just not the player the Patriots expected him to be and that they should play to his strengths, but it's also entirely reasonable to call him lazy and not able to put in the needed work to know more about the defense than just the particulars of 1 player.

We'll see if he adjusts or if the staff adjusts and what happens going forward. He's not going anywhere so it's best for both sides to figure something out.

Anyone else see Killings knock the ball out of Julio’s hands well after he’d been tackled? Should have been delay of game/unsportsmanlike.

They avoided a shutout, but Atlanta looks dreadful.

Julio Jones is just ridiculous. Ridiculous. That's a pick against probably 99% other recievers.

This game strongly reminded me of the Texans game last year. Back then it was "how are the Patriots going to score with a 3rd string QB against the best defense in the league" and this week it was "How are the Patriots going to stop the Falcons when they have only 3 healthy corners and have given up 300+ yards in 6 games".

Somehow that tickled the team and they came up with their best coaching and playing game so far.

The end result in both games is that they kind of humiliated a playoff contender and made everyone wonder why they ever questioned the Patriots in the first place.

I mean, I certainly wasn't expecting anything like this either.

(Fun fact: they also wore the same uniform for both games.)

I can't remember the last time 3 teams got shutout in 1 week. Been trying to find the last time that happened, but can't come up with anything. Anyone know?

Malik Hooker tore his ACL and MCL. Sucks for him. He was having a good season, especially for how bad the Colts are.

Joe Thomas' MRI showed he has torn left triceps. Likely done for season. Could be end of an era.

Browns are just weasily enough that I could see them cut him. Would be the most stupid thing they do.

Dan Bailey with a right groin injury, Jeff Heath (Safety who hasn't kicked since HS) as temp replacement. Auditioning for other backups apparently.

Hope he's back next week. Injuring yourself during warmups suuuucks

I worded it differently. At this point, Spiller should just invest in some kind of time share.

Eagles just trying to give up a safety.

First and 33 is the longest I think I’ve seen.

The game is early, but this reeks of last week for the Eagles. Officiating is absolutely garbage against them. They call a bunch of ticky-tack junk on the Eagles early but miss a blatant personal foul on the Redskins.

Trying to watch this game but keep getting interrupted. So far seems like both defenses are doing a pretty decent job.

Its a good thing the Rams are leading the league in scoring or this whole Goff or Wentz decision would be sad to think about.
