You'll find that in the current age, there's enough acceptance that reds (socialists) = good guys, so even though they are violent shitheads, they are given far more leeway, at least in the media if not legally, than anyone else.
Its pretty simple for the US. Left wing folks like what Antifa is doing. Beating up Trump supports while calling them Nazis. Good old the enemy of my enemy is my friend logic. So far its paying off as folks on the left get to watch folks on the right bleed.
"It doesn't matter if you believe me or not but common sense doesn't really work here. You're mad, I'm mad. We're all MAD here."
Do you have any hard data on how many people consider themselves a part of or associated with Antifa, how many have indulged in the problematic behaviour and how the Antifa group organises or leads these people into behaving that way?
My guess is, like with BLM, there is a small number of people claiming to be part of the movement who are causing these problems and people who are on the other side (racists in the case of BLM, fascists in the case of Antifa) are trying to paint the minority as representatives of the whole.
Now I do agree there is a problem with this sort of loosely organised/nebulous movement but I disagree with your conclusion that people who want to show their opposition to fascism by claiming some sort of affiliation with Antifa should be "banned" or labelled terrorists. However those individuals may want to look at the group they are supporting and decide if the name has been tainted by the people who are not working in the best interests of the cause.
Of course not, you are an Islamophobe. You want to ban their fucking religion. I'm not surprised you don't get along with them. You feel their religion is unfit for your world, and you want to "abolish" it. I would imagine that the people you target for oppression aren't likely to get along with you.
It's no different than a Southern Baptist who wants to ban gay marriage, it's not a surprise if he does not get along with gay people.

Antifa are a non-issue. Cowards and thugs, sure. Bullies and petty losers. But do they really have the clout to pull off anything except harassing people they disagree with? Are these pasty nerds organized enough to make you scared? No. You don't give neo-nazis the time of day, so why should you care about these shit-for-brains? Even talking about these groups gives them power and recognition they don't deserve.
Ignoring them is the best move, or just laughing them off if you don't have enough self-control.
Ban them from what? Life? College campuses? The food court? What?
Me thinks Chromie has a whole lot of splaining to do!
Well if they have any power, they kill you. I don't know if you've been paying attention though, but Nazis aren't a) in power, and b) holding any public favour.
Communists on the other hand? Well google the phrase "punch a nazi" (or other variants) and watch the mainstream media and twitter at large defend political violence against people they wrongly label fascist and nazi.

"Punching unarmed civilians unconscious for wrong-think is not inherently evil"
Fuck me. The world is doomed.

Neither did the IRA. Killing a few cops here and there in the long run is unnoticeable. That doesn't mean labelling the IRA a terrorist organisation was a wrong move - it very much was a right move.
Not labelling terrorists 'terrorist' spreads the message that political violence is totally acceptable.
