^ what this guy said. If you guys are all around 905 ilvl and 50+ traits in your main spec gear is not the problem.

905 was the ilvl used for world first kills. Obviously the large majority of mythic raiders need more, unless you only count the top 3 guilds as mythic raiders

905 was also the ilvl that those guilds downed him without the benefit of guides, beating their faces into the wall for 12+ hours/day. I don't think it's a perfect 1:1 ratio to say that every other guild needs more gear to beat them.

One guy who isn't even good enough to be in one of those guilds that dropped M-Gul'dan and then quit makes a blanket statement about why people better than him that he doesn't play with are quitting, and suddenly nobody can stop parroting it.

The population has been thinning out of the course of the entire expansion. There's a good chance it has less to do with gear than it does with class changes that were unpopular from day zero.

The arena population is completely dead as well, and they spent years lobbying for gear to stop mattering in rated matches. People just aren't having fun playing this overhauled version of the classes.

I thought mythic was supposed to be about the challenge. If it's about loot maybe they can put in a cash shop for you?

All these comments about how Mythic is supposedly skill-based and about the challenge are hilarious. Of course it's skill-based and challenge-based. But for 13 years those gaps have gotten progressively smaller week-to-week as you improve your character and raid power. That just isn't happening right now for Mythic guilds unless you get WF/TF so you're throwing yourself at bosses that are tuned to the skill and power expectations of world10 guilds when you might be a EU50, US100, or World 300 guild. No US 75th guild reasonably expects to compete with or for world first guilds. They expect to overcome difficult and challenging encounters, as a team, over the course of a tier. And like it or not, and whether you want to admit it or not, week-to-week power increases are one of many other reasons you might kill a boss if you're not a world first guild. It's completely unreasonable to just say "lol get good" for a Mythic raider who 1) doesn't have the expectation of ever being as skilled as a top player and 2) has never had to.

"mythic isnor rewarding", it is true for a top 100 guilda that do in 30 ppl 4-6 split raid farms when each week is equivalent or 6-9 weeks for a normal player that raids only in one char, 99% of the playerbase dont enter in mythic full in full TF +10/+15/+20 pieces
