I wish. We were 2-3 levels up and 2 shots when our Nova (QM) made the call to defend their payload. For the next few minutes, this became a pretty close equivalent to graveyard camping in WoW battlegrounds 10 years ago. Was possibly even more disgusted with the enemy team trickling in getting killed than with mine wasting time.
When a few of them were dead, I just escorted our payload solo and ended the game ~8 minutes later than it should have ended.
Two things will happen at some point:
- Pro players in tournaments will confirm that non-push strategies are the one that makes you win
- The same as above, but demonstrating that employing certain base-push strategies actually does work
We will see a change of attitude then
That is pretty much already happening to me in Master/Diamond (1) League. The most effective strategy so far is to have a solid Specialist/global Hero to deal with soaking xp while there is at least one Hero who can "jungle" and take the camps fairly quickly to support the rest of the team who will be occupied with ganking isolated Heroes (the token who reveals Heroes help with this a lot), deny the enemy to push by poking as well as team fights, and simply push the team carts when they spawn.
Getting an xp lead on this map will make you snowball out of control. The longest games has only lasted till lvl 18, but generally, the team who gets 16 first wins the game. That is why the Lost Vikings are ridiculously overpowered on this map and needs to be first banned/picked despite there only being two lanes, since you will be occupied with the carts to soak properly. You really should not push for a fort as a team unless the enemy team is too occupied elsewhere or you are already ahead in xp and talents to get a fort without much contest, like at lvl 10 or 16.

So, newbie question here, I decided to download it and give it a try, but I've really never played mobas outside of the original dota mods for WC3 like...way long ago. So anyways, which of these mega packs should I chose as a new player? Tried out their little quiz and I guess I fit more of the assassin theme, which I guess makes sense conceptually as I prefer attacking things (and in a wow analogy, I only dps, I don't bother with tanking having only done bits of offtanking long ago and wouldn't touch healing with a 10 foot pole). But I guess in terms of like overall value, which of these bundles is actually the better one?
so from what i see they lowered the amount of maps to only 6 until 5/15/17.
r.i.p. alleria. 1997-2017. blizzard ruined alleria forever. blizz assassinated alleria's character and appearance.
i will never forgive you for this blizzard.

EU servers in general had some trouble yesterday. Not sure if that ultimately was the cause of the longer queues.
Longer QM queue times for EU a known issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/heroesofthe...th_20/dh00j5h/

Gazlowe announcer is a hate/love relationship.
When you die he is an absolute dick.
When you are stomping he is awesome.
