The chairman of the (Chicago) City Council’s Aviation Committee did.

...if the airline needed backup to handle a recalcitrant or unruly passenger, that should have been provided by Chicago Police officers, who were just minutes away when the viral video was taken...
...the commissioner is so livid about the damage done to O’Hare Airport’s reputation as a travel hub, aviation security police may well be hard-pressed to hold on to their jobs.

Becease a guy who was thrown, unconscious, bleeding from head, without any medical aid, out of a plane is completely conscious when he wakes up.

Still in denial or you never saw the video right?

He, himself, while flailing like a 4yo throwing a fit because you won't give him ice cream, slipped and hit his head.

There was no punch thrown. He refused to stand up and got dragged out. Simple.

That's just disgusting L oh our employees are way more important than any of our customers let's smash their face and drag them off the plane those good for nothing customers.
From what I understand they might not have been employees of United.

Lol....... you quoted him totally out of context. Good job.

Why should the CEO resign over an isolated incident?

Actually it is when people are stating quite the opposite.

It does to context of the quote that it was responding to.

It is weird how many people have accepted their programming and behave like this.

No wonder corporations have so much power in the us, and so few consumer protection laws exist.

Awesome, I am to understand the claim that this guy is not an angel is not a part of your argument that this will be legally relevant?

The context of you and Hammerfest continuing to bring it up to deflect from the real problem?
Do you get paid for this?

Current rumor is that the records they dug up were for David Anh Duy Dao. The doctor on the plane was David Thanh Duc Dao.

Can't wait to see if this is true.

Also, the plane wasn't overbooked. All paying passengers were on the plane in their seats.

There are a different set of laws and rules once you are in your seat on the plane and short of a threat to the plane or passengers you can't be removed.

United blatantly violated their own contract of carriage and ToS and likely Federal law by their actions.

    The doctor is getting paid.

Pretty sure the question is why does his past behavior/ criminal record have any bearing on whether or not how he was treated was acceptable. The "real problem" was that he was essentially beaten and dragged off the plane... his past is irrelevant to this incident.

Your abuse of quotation marks to avoid thinking about things that are uncomfortable to you, apparently.
You should realize by now that denial isn't a healthy way to deal with things you do not like.
Just because you put them into quotation marks does not make them go away.

While I get that they wanted to help out the employees (they have to have been alternative employees, because every flight I've EVER been on has the little flip up seats for the actual CREW members), but they shouldn't take precedence over customers that have actually paid for their flights. While the guy maybe shouldn't have put up quite the fuss, I still think United was in the wrong for trying to boot off paying customers for employees. I'm sure there was an alternative flight they could've taken.
