90 casts of Cobra shot and didn't see this gold trait proc once. Is there a visual indicator to it? Would the damage show up separately on Details?

No, the proc rate is hilariously low.

It does not mean for every 10 casts, 1 will proc. It has a 10% chance per proc qualifier to proc, meaning you could do 180 casts and never see it.

I kept seeing this debuff pop up in my tidy plates after 7.2 and it was really annoying so I had to specifically hide it.

Dmg in meters and logs still shows up as Cobra Commander.

Yeah I can tell it proc'd because you see on the target (sometimes, if you're lucky 3-4) a quick 1-2 second poison debuff.

Is it worth it to take this trait or work on non golden traits?

Its still kind of shit even after its buff, but it still contributes to more overall dmg than a single point in either of the kill command relics do.

So yes, get this before JoT/PL traits.

It's currently, according to my logs, contributing 2.3% of my overall damage. Given 875k average over the course of boss fights, 20k dps extra isn't anything to sniff at.
