anduins and SW questline. more than one ally only AP award

can't post on EU forums, but i have a ally priest, she got two quest lines, one was to go to SW and talk in SW keep and got like a 2.1 mil AP reward epic item. today i got another anduin questline, several gold and at the end another huge epic AP reward item.

my horde are lagging on broken shore questline, because i use tend to use my one HU 110 with 10% rep racial bonus to unlock stuff faster like flying, and certain reps for pets/toys and mounts. i was thinking that my three horde may get something later, but it appears not after reading the blue post
i sorta understand blizz believing they had to tie up a story line, but to attach 4+ mil AP to it and for one faction only....lame

yea.. it's a whooping ~5M AP if you have the latest AK.. that's like what? 4-5 world quests (you know, those spawning endlessly all over the map). Totally broken, totally unfair...

Seriously to be upset that Alliance is potentially like 1-2% ahead in AP gains is dumb beyond reasoning...potentially because the amount of AP all over the place is either sufficient for you to constantly gain some or your current AP is high enough that the bar will barely move when you get these. Also mind you you get this 5M AP over 2 days.

It is honestly not that much at all. ~5mil sound like a lot, but 1 single class hall mission give me 1.5m + 1.5m bonus, with a chance to double to 3m each. It really isn't that big of a deal.

4 milliion is nothing now. When I log in after work I see world quest with 5 to 16 million ap and then you add dungeons emissary and raids to that. Sorry but I can´t shed a tear about 4 million one time ap. I am alliance but i wouldn´t bother when I was horde too.

2-3 m+ and you got that covered I think.

Yeah, as others have said, you have to let go of the thought that 1M AP is much. It isn't. You get some breadcrumbs to get the new golden perk, but it ramps upp A LOT afterwards.

4m is really nothing.

Maybe wait till further in? Could be more for Horde? if so, it isn't that much of a loss/gain

Nobody said it's fair, we just said it's such a small reward that there's no sense getting all salty over it.

Now the lore part of it, it's a bummer that the horde misses out on that. They should have let horde pick up Vol'jin's broken tusk for a similar lore reward.

The horde had their second cinematic where you have Sylvie come in and be proclaimed leader by Vol'jin.... the alliance only had the one with Varian's death. I know that plenty of horde will say that the Broken Shore cinematic wasn't horde one but seeing as I have horde and that most of the cinematic is from their view when playing horde you technically have one and then the Sylvannas proclaimed leader one afterwards... so the only viable complaint is the AP even though its not that much. I mean if something like this were to come out at the start of the expansion and still gave that 5.1 million then yeah I'd complain big time about it. But with the way rewards are right now its like doing 2-3 world quests and you match the reward, big deal. Quit complaining!!!

hahahahahhahahahahhaha, 4.3M AP from a one time only quest set that is faction specific for bringing together the story of the broken shore prior to legion release, at this moment, that amount of AP is less than 1% of my next trait level, it is a drop in the ocean, if you are seriously that far behind on AP gains that you need a one time only quest reward to keep up then that's a whole other issue and is nothing to do with this quest reward at all.

sure the Anduin quest line rewards some one-time AP bonuses for alliance only... but its not like it was just handed out?!?!?! we still had to spend time to earn it, and there were a few "escort" quests which are ridiculously stupid and tedious. I'm 100% positive I could have earned the same if not more AP by doing other WQs/Dungeons/Raids/etc instead of doing the storyline quests...

Edit: for example, the questline included multiple ports back an forth from deliverance point to SW, several 1-3 minute escort quests, dialogue, etc, all this time could have been spent doing WQ to earn the exact same, if not more, AP.

4kk+ AP is a joke, what I don't like is the lack of char development on Horde side. Horde has been doing nothing since Sylvanas vs Genn shootout in Stormheim, meh...

I was exaggerating to meet his sarcasm, yeah. But to me it feels off that Bliz would reward AP for it, given how closely people monitor this stuff (down to timing cinematics, etc.).

I was OK with not having a scene of our own. I watched the Anduin clip and went "meh." Granted, I don't like the Alliance, so I'm not their target audience, but... the whole thing is just set up strangely. Especially coming in a week when our shared quest is a jokey turnin that a lot of people probably did on the spot.

This the rp in the quest makes it alot slower than doing a few dailies especially if an invasion is up the kill quests there are as good but faster.

The Horde already can pick up Vol'jin's broken tusk, but instead of getting lore they get to jam it into their weapons:

Yes. You can find the compass by swimming east of Deliverance Point and searching among the sunken ships.

friend got the quest today, first part requires you to go to SW keep....follow and talk quest chain 2.1 mil AP. second part is at deliverance point chain of talk follow, click on some souls. complete, talk, complete 2.9 mil AP reward

5 mil AP easy peezy chain
