    What do you rank WoW

I personally love WoW. I have played it since I was 6 years old (I'm 15 now). Some things that have happened that I was not impressed with, such as the Cataclysm expansion. I love the atmosphere and the landscapes. The areas as a whole are amazing and empowered with lore. Some areas are not such a funfest (For me, Blasted Lands) but some are great fun (For me, Redridge Mountains). The different races and their abilities are amazing and really cool (Night Elves and their Racial Ability: Shadowmeld). The classes are full of variety and are each unique in their abilities.

    I give World of Warcraft a 9.

If we're rating this against games in general then I'd give it a solid 7.

There are other games that take certain aspects of what WoW does and makes them much better, but overall it's a solid C+/B.

Enjoyable but not as much as in the past. I feel like if you are a casual you will soon realize how big the gap of the game became compared to the past. Queue a heroic dungeon with some 850 alt and see how 1-2 900+ guys ignore you and your team, just pulling bosses and go ahead even if only they stay alive due to adds or whatever. In one tier healers can do 800dps+ while new dps players ~800ilvl do like not even 150k. This is stupid and boring.

Scaling went out of hand and blizzard seems helpless there. They need to scale ilvl down to ~830&840 on heroic and mythic dungeons to make them fun again. I cannot remember dungeons ever being so stupid and onesided than now, when not even second tier raid is out.

It has lost it's immersion and has become way too systematic for me to rate it anything above a 7.

I genuinely miss the whole progression that vanilla and BC had. I also think leveling has become irrelevant which is a real shame.

I hopped back on after 4 years off to do a level 20 achievement for hearthstone and everything just seemed off... all lowbies in crazy gear and mounts, and walking through SW felt like walking through a circus.

Leveling is no longer much of an issue, although the time waster is now the AP and lego system. There are no "mandatory" rep grinds although the suramar rep is nice to have to have access to 2 more M+ dungeons. Dungeons are decent, world quests are basically optional and quick and easy to complete if you so desire, raids have been pretty good like always. Unlike in the early days of wow, every class and spec is more or less viable right now, some are better, some are worse, but everything works sufficiently well most of the time to be considered viable. The game is in a pretty stable state, most of the glaring issues have been ironed out at this point but blizzard is still making mistakes when they introduce new systems like the AP and especially the RNG legendary grind that severely limits players ability to switch characters or even specs without possibly months worth of prepping. The game is starting to feel a bit stale and boring to be honest but thats what you get for playing the same game for 10+ years.

Some classes play very well while some feel a little bit worse thanks to either reworks that did not go quite as well as planned or the lack of reworks. Some nuance and utility options have been lost in the many ability prunes though. Raids have never ceased to provide good gameplay. Gameplay wise the game is what i've grown accustomed to and must like it considering i am still playing the game, gameplay is a solid 9 for me personally.

Content is pretty good in this expansion. Raids have interesting enough setting and story, dungeons follow the same suit, zone questlines made leveling feel less of a timewaster and more like a coherent loosely story driven experience. World quests somehow feel a bit less tedious and more worthwhile than the daily grinds of old. There are things to do outside of raiding but they aren't strictly mandatory, both obviously good things. Can't complain about the quality or quantity of content. Another solid 9.

Systems... Titanforging is BS, whenever i loot a high ilevel TF from low difficulty content i feel like i am being fed with welfare ilevel, not something i deserved to get from the content i was doing. Also goes the other way, whenever i loot base ilevel gear from mythic i get disappointed for not getting good procs on it. TF feels wrong when luck is on your side but also feels disappointing when it isn't. The whole AP situation was awfully stressing during the first tier, but now that we are heading into tomb and everyone has at least the base concordance on their mains, AP is no longer a huge issue. AP is still somewhat of an obstacle for getting your offspecs or alts into playable (as in worthy for mythic progress) condition, but it's not an impassable obstacle with instant AK40 for alts. The whole RNG legendary system is possibly the worst issue of the whole expansion. Considering a single good legendary can increase your performance by up to 10% or even more, having a random legendary drop system is so very wrong when a large chunk of your characters potential is tied to having the correct legendaries. Unless you get your 2 best, or at least good legendaries from your first 3 quick legos, legos are the main thing that makes rolling an offspec or simply getting a fresh character into playable condition such a major pain in the ass. Gating a large chunk of your characters power behind pure RNG was a terribad decision. Mythic+ is a mixed bag. On the other hand it's nice to have something you can always do to possibly progress your character but at the same time when you combine the fact that thanks to TF, you can loot literally the best items in the game from a piece of content you could farm 24/7, you get the feeling that you are never doing enough to prepare your character unless you literally run M+ 24/7. AP also ties to that issue and so does the lego system until you have the correct set of legos. It's nice that M+ provides relevant rewards but in combination with TF, AP and lego it feels a bit off. Ignoring TF, gearing path seems pretty natural and m+ offers a viable (or technically superior) option to raiding. Leveling is hardly a chore and mandatory rep grinds are not present but TF and lego systems provide more disappointments than excitement. The negatives outweigh the positives in terms of systems that are active in legion and i am really inclined to give the systems as poor of a score as 3.

So the end result is 7? Seems pretty fitting score for the overall experience in this expansion.

... i probably should not let my thoughts leak out at 4 in the morning, i'm producing pretty horrible text.

Gave it a 7, though in some respects it could be a bit closer to a 6. It's a big game with a ton of history behind it, and worth playing or at least trying for any MMO fan. Having said that, the game has it's share of flaws that keep it from scoring higher.

As an MMO, a 10. Simply nothing better. As a game, like if I were to pit it against single players and shit like that, probably a 7. I'll vote an 8 on the poll to be reasonable.

As the overall claim on the MMORPG market, I gave it an 8. I have tried tons of other MMO's and I keep returning home.

Probably 6 or 7. It's definitely a good game, but it also has some major flaws (which, in my opinion, have gotten worse with Legion)

Used to be 10/10, but meh, id give it a 6, as always the art, music, and everything is always top notch, but its always the core gameplay, the gameplay systems, and gameplay decisions that fk this game over.

Just cuz its 6 or 7 doesnt meant he doesnt play the game ?

The older expansions, and the classic game is definitely a 9 or 10/10. Today WoW is only a 5/10 game since there's so much wrong with it.

Pro-tip to Blizzard; look at classic up to WotLK to see how professions, the world and PvP should be done. Learn from your old stuff. The game today is simply "raid or die."

I mean, just because it's not the best game possible doesn't mean it's not fun to play. It's definitely the game that I've spent the most time on by far, simply because it allows you to(and in Legion it... strongly incentivises doing so). The answer to your question is 689 days on my main account, not counting deleted characters, so call it 700.

I spent over 100 hours on Skyrim and I consider it a pretty bad game.

At launch it was amazing, since it was new and the whole idea of an MMO was fairly new. WoW broke ground with "party optional" gameplay. The slide down the slope of accessibility had just begun.

LK was amazing as I believe that was when they hit the sweet spot of accessibility. Causal-friendly normal mode raids but no LFR, 5 mans and heroics that were quite challenging at their launch. Traditional talent system, comfortably complex classes and lots of ways to build and play them.

Ever since then, WoW, MMOs, and just online gaming in general are starting to smell awful ripe. Dumbing down to the extreme to attract even the least invested, instant-gratification seeking gamers, and flattened skill curves so no one need feel like they're bad at the game. I think everyone is aware of how shitty the average interaction is with random people on the internet, too, and things are trending back to single player, or at best "MMOs" where you just see other people that you need never interact with (and who may as well be bots).

It's tough to rank overall since it's a whole series of games that have changed much over the years.

But if I had to sum it all up I would say... 7/10. Top 3 games = LK, MoP, Classic.

700 days is almost 17000 hours though, so comparing it to Skyrim's 100h is not exactly a fair comparison.

I give it a 5 right now. When i started playing WoW for me was so amazing but over time it just seems to more and more just funnel people into raiding. Level quickly, gear quickly and the raid, raid, raid. Maybe grind up some bonus stats to help you raiding.
I really enjoy ESO right now where the leveling is quite slow but excelent, really cool quests and areas. WoW had that too long ago but legion leveling was just bland and boring. Barely any memorable storylines, barely any exploration, boring dungeons.
