Not surprising in the least. I'd also argue the Russian email antics they tried to pull last minute hurt her cause far worse than it helped. People saw right through it and the media was ready to counter it after seeing it happen in the US. It was the nail in the coffin for an already declining Le Pen.

Not French but looking at Macron's platform, he seems to be a pretty reasonable and moderate candidate overall, especially compared to Le Pen.
