Think resto shamans is doing very well. I think from the healers side they are all very well balanced this time around.
As you can see here they are pretty balanced.
If by performing you are referring to HPS, then we are decent in raids, with some really good fights tailored for us, but certainly not the best , as we depend on a number of things to actually get good logs. Druids and paladins, mostly outheal us. However, that does not mean however we are any less useful as our kit is by far the single best in the entire game.
As far as Mythic+ is concerned, we are again in a good state, which means that you will be able to push high keys. That said, our class has an upper limit lets say, e.g. EOA 24+ with tyrannical, which we cannot heal purely reliant on our healing capabilities, while other healers e.g. druids, paladins can. We are certainly not the go-to choice for really high keys, but 20+ mostly comes down to skill, class, and group composition. If you are interested in lower keys, e.g 10-18+, then Rshamans can breeze through them (CoEN, and Kara are different stories :P).
Not the highest hps, but each guild needs atleast one, largely because a lot of strats call for a SLT (Mythic Il'gynoth, Mythic Gul'dan) and in other strats, having the SLT+Darkness combo (the most brokenly op cd in game) is extremely helpful.
M+ They're good, again not the best, but definitely very good still, the fact they bring lust and rez totem (if you spec into it for some dungeons where it has mega value) is very nice.
Especially considering the best m+ comps don't often have someone who can lust in them! (DH+Hunter+Other, which usually isn't someone with lust)
