Trump threatens to cancel White House briefings because it is ‘not possible’ for his staff to speak with ‘perfect accuracy’

President Trump threatened Friday morning to end White House press briefings, arguing that “it is not possible” for his staff to speak with “perfect accuracy” to the American public.

Trump's comments come after his description of his decision to fire FBI Director James B. Comey in an NBC News interview Thursday flatly contradicted the accounts provided earlier by White House officials, including Vice President Pence, exposing their explanations as misleading and in some cases false.


In a pair of tweets sent Friday, Trump suggested he might do away with the daily press briefings at the White House and instead have his spokesmen communicate to the public only via “written responses.”

Really the most useful purpose of it is to be able to rate Trump's various flying monkey underlings on their ability to lie. It's more "The Voice, Liar Edition", than it is a presser by the head of state's media team.

Same liberal media outlet proclaims there MIGHT have been collusion with Russia, yet NO PROOF at all of it. But since the media outlet said there is we have to investigate. The only reports of it was from the liberal journalist.

Same liberal media outlet says they have sources that say the Assistance Attorney General threatens to resign over the firing. He gets on TV and says he NEVER threaten anything and he in fact did recommend the firing.

What he is saying is that since what they say at the briefings are spun to fit the liberal media agenda, maybe it would be better to hand them written statements. That way when they lie and spin the truth, they can call BS and show the written statement.

You don't have to put the media in it at all.

Just line all the interviews up, side by side, involving the firing of Comey the last few days.
They're all different stories, because they're all having to make up different lies about it.

Trump then comes out later that night and throws his entire staff under the bus.


This is solely a move to save face, because our POTUS is too incompetent to manage communication out of his West Wing, let alone tell the truth.

The press briefings wouldn't even be as bad if his fucking administration could all attach to the same lie, but they contradict each others' official statements four times in a day. It makes it worse because you know they're all lying but they're too incompetent to at least unify.
