El Shaddai Creator to Announce 'Major' New Title Within 2 Weeks

Sawaki Takeyasu, president of video game developer Crim, revealed at the PUSH game developers summit as part of the Tokyo Sandbox 2017 event on Saturday that he will announce a "major" title within the next two weeks. Takeyasu announced the new title as a "new myth plan," and added that since it's a major title instead of an independent title, he couldn't give any further details at this time.

Takeyasu (Devil May Cry, Steel Battalion, Ōkami, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron) is currently working on Kadokawa Games' upcoming God Wars Future Past PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game as a monster designer. The game will launch in Japan on June 22, in Europe on June 16, and in North America on June 20.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron first shipped for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in April 2011, followed by a North American release in August 2011 and a European release in September 2011. The El Shaddai Social Battle game for Android devices launched in 2012. Takeyasu acquired all intellectual property rights for the game from Ignition Entertainment in May 2013, and the El Shaddai Coin&Epic Android and iOS game launched in August 2013.
