I want to be my own sovereign state.
Can't say I necessarily "support" it, but Scotland has been fighting for independence for many centuries; I'd say they earned it, and, given Brexit, it might be good for them in the long run.
Also Tibet, apparently.
Kurdistan, because they would be an actual stable, mostly secular state in the Middle East that shares our values.
Well I guess some of the asian countries that want out of china and probably scottland.
Québec. Voted yes in the 1995 referendum. Did not pass sadly.
Key West aka the Conch Republic.
I guess I'm sympathetic to Tibet, Scotland, Palestine and torn on the Kurds.
Taiwan too, but I wouldn't really call that secession. And Taiwan is pretty much considered as de facto independent (officially or unofficially) by everybody except China. And even Chinas claims on Taiwan are mostly pro forma.
Other movements I either disagree with or know too little about.
East Ukraine from Ukraine, northerh Kazakhstan from Kazakhstan, Pridnestrovie from Moldova, Narva from Estonia
Sicily: it's where my family are from and it's true that they are very different culturally to the Italians. They never wanted to join a united Italy in the late 1800s but had their hand forced. I am also pretty sure La Liga Norta would be glad to see it go as well.
I don't know the recipe for success, but I know that the recipe for failure is trying to please everyone.
Forum stupidity at its finest:
Allatar - EU Aszune | Allatar - D3 Career
Tibet and Hong Kong
Kurdistan primarily.
And then any other region or province of a wider state that seeks independence democratically and wins a clear majority in favour of secession through popular vote.
I wouldn't want to see Scotland leave the UK, but if that's what a majority yearn for, then I wouldn't try to stop them.
