Family got slammed for reckless behavior they were feeding it bread then stopped and it was still hungry I guess, its like 20mins from where I live its a really popular fishing wharf lots history there ect. during the warm months for locals and tourists flock to it.

Especially not when said wildlife is what looks like a male sea lion. To put this into perspective, "small" sea lions mass about as much as black bears, and the big males mass as much as grizzlies. The only reason these guys aren't apex predators is because orca are even bigger murder machines.

I dunno if you are being sarcastic but the sea lion gave her the side eye of doom and immediately took an opening on the small child like any predator would target first.

People underestimate sea lions and seals all the time. They can be curious sure, but they can also be very quick and aggressive

Ya, i think people forget how badass sea lions are, especially the bigger species, ya great whites and orcas might eat them, but even then its mostly babies or injured/diseased individuals, a big male is not only deadly but smart.

Their looks are quite deceiving, I blame the pirate act that's common in theme parks here. I hope that sea lion receives no blame for the incident.
