It is a linguistic thing. The German word for 'bad' often needs a qualifier, in this case more like 'bad behaviour', which is simply longer. The word they use is not necessarily one that means evil, either, at least not in the same sense that words like 'wicked' mean. 'Böse' is something that is used more with children, really, and reflects a certain simplicity either on part of the speaker or the listener. As such, it is relatively close to Trump's general style. He likes very simple terms like that in his own language. That is how he uses bad too, after all. As such, it is both in line with his speech patterns and relatively close in sound and writing.
