I still don't like the animation compared to regular cell looking animation. I'll admit that it looks a little better than the previous season but not by a whole lot.

I still don't like the animation compared to regular cell looking animation. I'll admit that it looks a little better than the previous season but not by a whole lot.

If anything, the facial animations are worse this time around (that last shot at the end of episode 4 was pre-patch Mass Effect Andromeda bad), but it just makes the combat look so heavy and fluid. You can really feel the weight of Dragon Slayer cleaving through dozens of fully armored knights better with a 3D model as opposed to 2D animation.

Is there any confirmation of this series adapting the entire manga, or are we on a stressful 'single-arc-at-a-time' thing every year? I'm really afraid of this show getting dropped for some reason, although it is apparently a pretty decent success. Maybe it's the animation haters getting to me... All I know is I crave a dedicated Berserk anime that will last as long as the manga. I want to follow this amazing story so much but never could get into the manga.

The manga at least is moving forward. I'd hope that in the next 2-3 chapters we might have a resolution of Casca's dream sequence. I am quite certain though that what she is searching for is not Guts but Griffith. I think it will be interesting if at the same time that Guts has finally given up on revenge and is considering the happiness of those around him most important, that Casca might wake up and be utterly consumed by revenge (maybe enough to trigger the Behelit)

Nope. Just as we are nearing conclusion of that ark, mini-casca will get stuck on the boat with shierke and co.
