    Unable to tame Fenryr?

So I've been trying to do this for a few weeks now, being as I MS SV, I respeced and built up my BM weapon. After about 40~ attempts I finally got him down but it didn't respawn the tameable version. Yes I solod it from beginning to fenryr, even 1 shot Hymdall. But I'm wondering if the instance soft resetting last night is what's causing him to not spawn? If so, then does bliz expect us to fully complete it in one go? Or is this just some sort of bug? Tbh I'm a little salty cause now I have to wait until reset (which is patch day) to even attempt it again...

Im pretty sure the soft reset is why.
They want to avoid people just soft resetting to skip trash.
Far as i know you have to do it in one go
I tried it a few weeks ago but my gear wasn't there yet

I did it when it came live, first try no issues. Also I don't think anyone thought it will be done in multiple sessions... something that takes maybe 15 min start to end.

If You have fresh lockout and do everything as in this vid there will be no problems:

I got to ilvl900 now, is it possible with this gear? Playing MM mainly but looks like i will have to make it as BM for this pet.

900 is entirely possible. Just like the Mage Tower challenge, the right legendaries makes this pretty face roll as well. If you have Prydaz and Roots (Roots alone is probably enough and you could use another legendary with them) it's pretty much a given, just use Camo as MM or SV and skip trash, switch to BM for bosses. With Camo you do 3 pulls total: Heim, Fenryr p1 and Fenryr p2. Save MD's for add spawns. You should also carry drums or have a Netheray/Corehound for lust. Having them spec'd tenacity also helps (specifically on Fenryr).

    Great tipps, thank you sir

Sorry but what do you mean with MD, got a german client.

I don't have the legs but Prydaz for some defense.

Just in case you didn't see the person's post after yours, MD=Misdirect. Don't use it on pull for Fenryr because you want the adds on your pet and the damage reduction MD gives your pet for its duration. Nuke the adds as fast as possible as the boss and 3 adds can do some damage, as opposed to just the boss being a threat but much more manageable.
Also some afterthought tips: without legs you need to burn the boss before the bleed overtakes you, so make sure to Flask, prepot, use a 2nd pot, food buff, and Augment Rune if you have one. Depending on your kiting ability, you might want to play it safe and kill the 3 pack of wolves near the bridge just for some extra space (completely avoidable, but I managed to pull them by accident once and wiped).

Also, if you're more confident in your MM kiting skills, on the wowhead comment pages someone described how to do Fenryr p2 as MM. You'll have to clear a lot of the aggressive trash though.

I wanted to try it as BM because I levelled this hunter like 2 months ago and never played any other specc than MM, so I had the chance to learn it a little bit and I downed Fenryr on my 10th or 11th try I think, I couldn't make it like in the video above but kited him around the lake and it worked :-)

Didn't even have BM legendaries but KJ trinket and Prydaz, 897ilvl and 43 traits on BM.

Did it as 903 with leg: belt and head. Kill all wolfs around cave and simply kite Fenryr. Did Feign Death when wolfs spawned in fight to reset aggro onto Turtle pet. Had 11 tries total before I was able to tame.

Dunno if this was intended or not when I did it but when I kited the boss into the cave when he was chasing me, the next wave of wolves that spawned appeared at the bosses starting point and they took forever to walk down the cave to us. gives a bit more up time on the boss if it is the case.

Noone cares if u done it at 1st try, you need to feed your own ego in every post u make? jeee

Anyway to make the wolf spawn u need make it in one go. You cant leave the instance or logout after u kill the 1st boss.

Ok then i have spent 2 nights and the day between them in there ... took me 1539 tryes to kill the wolf and the tamable version was in the cave. I'm writing this from the hospital bed where I am recovering after suffering from sleep deprivation. Better?

I can't get him past five percent. The adds always overwhelm me. I have mm legendary legs, boot and belt. Any ideas on what I should use and what I should do?

I saved first initial cooldowns for first set of adds.

Any other time the adds just dropped with beastcleave.

After a good few tries now and then when bored:
Good legendaries to use,Apex Predator ring and Healing legs. Spec for singletarget (Crows,DB) Binding shot,Aspect of the beast. Aspect of the beast with apex ring gives your pet all 3 abilities when popping kill commands so its also pretty godlike
Use a tankish pet like Turtle for extra DR shield
    Spec tenacity for charge damage
Learn the timings of the add spawns
Hero drums and pot at the start
MD first wave, cleave down with a few good multishots to keep cleave up
Retreat to cave, keep max range, chuck a few traps between boss and you in cave for 2nd add wave
By this time if you stood still pretty well and used mend on cooldown pet and your HP should be okayish,if not save selfheal to bring pet to full
Get to max range outside the cave again, cave entrance is a good choke point again for traps

Boss also is not good at resetting aggro once pet dies so keep that guy alive or you will be eating dirt
