no one will be surprised because right wing violence has been around for a while now. But nice try.

You havent seen right wing violence in this country... Nor have you seen left wing violence... You have seen extremist violence (on both sides of the political spectrum). So yes, you would be surprised to see right wing violence. Much like most on the left, the right arent violent like you seem to think they are.

This. I don't care about congress lives. They are a bunch of paid corporate shills who ruin the nation every year they're in office. There's a reason congress has around a 13% approval rating.

After a couple of days, social media seems to confirm my suspicions. Socialists have a tendency to justify political violence, most of the arguments I see are a variation of he had it coming.

Liar. This was discussed in a different thread. Four years earlier, the same group DID run the same play, with Obama being the victim rather than Trump. No flipping out happened.

Saint like restraint? You are completely delusional. The big loser of your delusions will be the right, though you may succeed in causing quite a bit of harm to America along the way

Members of congress are civilians. The only ones who weren't civilians at that baseball game were the cops. You can try to spin it how you want, but literally only civilians got injured.

You realise that the Second Amendment is not what gives police officers guns, yeah?

100% agree that political violence is not acceptable under any circumstances. Having said that, it's at least a little ironic that said Republicans are all about arming the folks inclined to shoot them.

If you go and check shootings like the one this page is about, generally the shooters pick defenseless victims.

It is the same principle in action. The means to protect yourself with a firearm.

And a lot of people who know these circumstances better than you do, have said the armed security more than likely prevented a blood bath and saved lives.

Because those who do understand the 2nd Amendment gives the citizens the right to arm themselves. Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

Well, if there is karma ( which I do not believe in ) the 2nd Amendment worked well in this case http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/06/16...l-arrests.html

Its a good thing that heroic cops are around to save shitty bigoted politicians from crazy people.

I hope Scalise (aka David Duke without the baggage) takes the opportunity to reflect that his life was saved by a gay, black woman.

Why do you blame the left? Atleast they tried to abide by their constituency's wishes.

This is the most cynical type of argument that reactionaries have been saying about any public policy since time immemorial. Both the government and the private sector have the capacity and the expertise to process a database of that size. An argument that boils down to, 'gubmint can't do it because big numbers' is a cop out.

I'm not aware of any Republican politicians (and not many Democrat politicians for that matter) that have any sense of decency and shame left anymore. I expect no reflection on his part.

Oh the fucking irony in both yours and Ivanstone's statement.

As far as I can tell neither of you two should be commenting on peoples decency or shame at this point regardless how shitty someone else might be.
